Obama's Subtle "You Didn’t Build That" Rhetoric

I have a license for very few things in life

I pay taxes just like all Americans......it is part of being a citizen

Typical far left response, a non answer followed by a statement of self proclaimed moral superiority to excuse the lack of substance.....

It is true...

Unlike your extremist antigovernment rhetoric

Gubment does a lot of good, a lot of bad but blind followers like you go along with any nonsense that want to do. Followers like you think anyone who doesn't fully support the gubment FORCING you to buy a product you may not want is extremist, for example. But to each their own, your gubment blankey makes you feel good at night......

Yep,

Government provides stability through defense and police protection for the business.
Government provides regulatory frame work and uses its economic power to favor its local businesses.
It paves the roads and educates the children

I am all for the business but these rich people would be getting raped and beaten without the government.

Just who the hell pays for all this defense and roads moron?

It damn sure isn't paid for by poor people on food stamps!
And.......Obama and his class of Socialist leeches sure as hell haven't paid for a single pothole being filled!

You guys have this fixation on "makers" and "takers" but misidentify who is who.

Maker's make stuff. That's Labor.

Taker's take stuff. That's the 1%.

Our laws...right up to the Constitution, favor the rich. But not completely.

But because the rich use their money to legislate, they've gone far beyond the slight favor that the Constitution gives them.

And that was never original intent.

So if the Takers take stuff.. what is left for the "makers"? I mean takers take all the food. Take all the gas. Take all the cell phones. Take all the internet.
Are you a taker because you are on the internet right now.

Now if the takers have all the money. Where did the average under Obama 530,000 new businesses that started each year from 2009 to 2011 get their money?
Or where did the new businesses started during Bush the average being 629,715 per year ..(20% more then Obama!) get their money?
OH RIGHT... THE TAKERS had the money they started these new businesses.

Oh I'm sure the makers are aware that they would NEVER NEVER pay $65/hour to mow grass right?
ONLY the TAKERS could afford that and dumb enough right?

Well here is one more reason why there are fewer US jobs and Obama by the way is a MAJOR supporter of grass mowers making $65/hour.

"Take grass cutting.
As defined by the current United Auto Worker contract negotiated with the "Big Five" (GM, Ford, Chrysler, and top parts makers Delphi and Visteon),
an auto "production worker" is a job description that covers anything from mowing grass to cleaning the toilets.

In the real world, these jobs would be outsourced to $8 an hour, no-benefit wage earners, but on Planet Big Five, these jobs get the same wages as any auto line-worker:
an average $26 an hour ($60,000 a year) plus benefits that bring the company's total cost per worker to a staggering $65 an hour."

What is the average hourly wage of a UAW auto worker? - Yahoo Answers

ANY wonder businesses are closing in the USA and moving offshore?
where the average Chinese worker's hourly wage: $0.14.
What is the average wage for auto worker

If you missed President Obama’s 2014 State of the Union address or forgot about it as soon as he uttered the obligatory “God bless the United States of America,” you have at least this in common with your fellow Americans.

But in an election year it is useful to reflect on what Obama did in his address so you can anticipate how he might be selling his statism in the months to come.

Obama did not do what his PR folks had telegraphed to us, that is, hammer “inequality”—i.e., the need to steal from the makers to give to the takers—or, in leftist-speak, to make things “fair.” Oh, that goal was there in his policy prescriptions, but he wrapped redistribution in a rhetoric that would appeal to middle-of-the-spectrum Americans rather than hard-core expropriators.

you can count your lucky stars

that congress is divided

had it not been

about now after listening to the SOTU campaign speech

the we would have a similar to obamacare mandated

buying of US bonds

with the myra nonsense he spouted

millions of Americans would have been forced into buying US debt

The government does these things at only 10 times the amount it should cost, yay gubment!

Without the gubment taking half their money, the rich could hire a private security force that would work better than the gubment at a much lower cost. Many have to have private security already even with the big bad gubment "protecting" them.

Your post is stupid.

The reason Apple and Dell are able to make $400 IPODs and $2,000 computers in Singapore and ship them over here is because the US Navy keeps those shipping lanes open. It also keeps the shipping lanes open for our exports as well.

If you think the "rich" could fund that, I'm sorry but you're IQ is approximately you shoe size.

Paid by the American people to the government we elected. You're a fucking moron for fighting to turn our country into a third world state.

Get control of your typing monkey, he's making you look more foolish than usual. Did you even stop to think why Apple makes products overseas? Without government intrusion they could make their products here at a reasonable cost. But lets say your ignorant statement has a shred of merit, the roughly 8 billion a year Apple pays just in corporate taxes alone could fight off your Marxist dictator heroes. Not to mention Steve Jobs could have likely had better relationships with world leaders than assholes like Obama........

About those roads and potholes, probably the fairest tax we have. It's called a fuel tax and it goes to maintaining roads. You pay according to how much use you get from the roads. You are even able to adjust the amount you pay by the selection of your primary transportation vehical.
In regards to defense, it isn't the rich who supply the folks who go to war or even stand in uniform defending us or standing ready to do so. Seems fair that if the rich don't have to send their kids to war to defend their wealth they should be willing to pay for someone else's kid to do the job.

The government is not the enemy....they are us

We elect them, they represent what we want and need. If they don't, we vote them out.

Those tax dollars do what is in the best interest of the country. The wealthy benefit much more from those tax dollars than they put in

To field a Navy and to secure the worldwide shipping lanes? The taxpayers of course.

Lets consider the alternative. GE wants to send a bunch of turbines over to Japan. So they call Maersk (sp?) and tell them to pick them up from a train yard in Long Beach, CA. Maersk has to now field their own navy because since the US Navy is not there any longer, the pirates that used to be in the far flung shit-holes of the world have now set up shop off of Santa Catalina (not to mention Saipan, Guam, Palau, Truk Island, the Azores, Dutch Harbor (we got rid of the Coast Guard too). So escort ships--you'll need more than one--with mercenaries on board set sail with the freighters in a convoy. The ship makes it to Japan with only a few skirmishes along the way. GE's profit dwindles because while there were only a few skirmishes...Maersk has to employ the same number of mercenaries and escort vehicles every time.

And the same goes for Apple, for Exxon, for Monsanto, for Royal Dutch Shell.

Speaking of which...those platforms out in the Gulf....sitting ducks.
Those guys on the Deadliest Catch--it just got deadlier
Feel like going on a cruise down to Belize...it just got hotter

The infinitesimal stupidity of claiming that private industry doesn't need the government is a new low for the right wing looney birds.

Are you really ignorant enough to believe our government doesn't regulate businesses and that it's not a huge cost to businesses? ... :cuckoo:

If you can't make sense of my statement that Apple could use the 8 billion a year they save in taxes to ensure their products can ship safely by any means necessary, you're bigger ditz than I thought. Hell, they may be able to do it for far less than 8 billion per year....

Compared to the benefits derived from the same govrnment...its pennies.

So you're saying that 8 billion per year could fund the Navy?

It may pay for the gas for one or two fleets.

You're a fucking dumbass.

With the amount of money the gubment takes from these companies, they would find a way to band together survive and thrive. However, the gubment can't survive without these businesses funding them.
