Obama's Subtle "You Didn’t Build That" Rhetoric

I had a nice rebuttal but as the OP is just lousy paste from some blog without links or credit to the author I will just call the OP a lazy parasite on more literate, productive people.

So you consider him your equal. Why didn't you just say that?

Get control of your typing monkey, he's making you look more foolish than usual. Did you even stop to think why Apple makes products overseas? Without government intrusion they could make their products here at a reasonable cost.
Intrusion such as what exactly?

But lets say your ignorant statement has a shred of merit, the roughly 8 billion a year Apple pays just in corporate taxes alone could fight off your Marxist dictator heroes.
That statement makes no sense but I do admire your streak; your earlier statements made no sense either.

Are you really ignorant enough to believe our government doesn't regulate businesses and that it's not a huge cost to businesses? ... :cuckoo:

If you can't make sense of my statement that Apple could use the 8 billion a year they save in taxes to ensure their products can ship safely by any means necessary, you're bigger ditz than I thought. Hell, they may be able to do it for far less than 8 billion per year....

Huge cost to business? Who gives a fuck?

Not being able to dump waste in the river is a huge cost to business
Not being able to burn toxic waste is a huge cost to business
Not being able to produce an unsafe product is a huge cost to business

Compared to the benefits derived from the same govrnment...its pennies.

So you're saying that 8 billion per year could fund the Navy?

It may pay for the gas for one or two fleets.

You're a fucking dumbass.

Clowns like you call forcing them to pay 7 billion in taxes instead of 8 billion a "benefit".

They would need the entire Navy for one shipping lane? :cuckoo:

Well, hypothetically ASSuming those things happened, would you protest and not buy their products or just bitch about it on the internet using one of their products?......... :eusa_whistle:

Who does the goverment rely on for the money to do those things?

To field a Navy and to secure the worldwide shipping lanes? The taxpayers of course.

Lets consider the alternative. GE wants to send a bunch of turbines over to Japan. So they call Maersk (sp?) and tell them to pick them up from a train yard in Long Beach, CA. Maersk has to now field their own navy because since the US Navy is not there any longer, the pirates that used to be in the far flung shit-holes of the world have now set up shop off of Santa Catalina (not to mention Saipan, Guam, Palau, Truk Island, the Azores, Dutch Harbor (we got rid of the Coast Guard too). So escort ships--you'll need more than one--with mercenaries on board set sail with the freighters in a convoy. The ship makes it to Japan with only a few skirmishes along the way. GE's profit dwindles because while there were only a few skirmishes...Maersk has to employ the same number of mercenaries and escort vehicles every time.

And the same goes for Apple, for Exxon, for Monsanto, for Royal Dutch Shell.

Speaking of which...those platforms out in the Gulf....sitting ducks.
Those guys on the Deadliest Catch--it just got deadlier
Feel like going on a cruise down to Belize...it just got hotter

The infinitesimal stupidity of claiming that private industry doesn't need the government is a new low for the right wing looney birds.

With the amount of money the gubment takes from these companies, they would find a way to band together survive and thrive. However, the gubment can't survive without these businesses funding them.

Actually, they couldn't survive without the US government protecting their interests around the globe

As I've already stated, maybe they'd be better at protecting their interests than incompetent assholes like Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama who don't really care about them anyway. How'd they do protecting the interests of Ambassador Stevens? .....:eusa_whistle:

12 times better than Bush...

January 22, 2002. Calcutta, India. Gunmen associated with Harkat-ul-Jihad al-Islami attack the U.S. Consulate. Five people are killed.

October 12, 2002. Denpasar, Indonesia. U.S. diplomatic offices bombed as part of a string of "Bali Bombings." No fatalities.

February 28, 2003. Islamabad, Pakistan. Several gunmen fire upon the U.S. Embassy. Two people are killed.

December 6, 2004. Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Al Qaeda terrorists storm the U.S. Consulate and occupy the perimeter wall. Nine people are killed.

March 2, 2006. Karachi, Pakistan again. Suicide bomber attacks the U.S. Consulate killing four people, including U.S. diplomat David Foy who was directly targeted by the attackers. (I wonder if Lindsey Graham or Fox News would even recognize the name "David Foy." This is the third Karachi terrorist attack in four years on what's considered American soil.)

September 12, 2006. Damascus, Syria. Four armed gunmen shouting "Allahu akbar" storm the U.S. Embassy using grenades, automatic weapons, a car bomb and a truck bomb. Four people are killed, 13 are wounded.

July 9, 2008. Istanbul, Turkey. Four armed terrorists attack the U.S. Consulate. Six people are killed.

September 17, 2008. Sana'a, Yemen. Terrorists dressed as military officials attack the U.S. Embassy with an arsenal of weapons including RPGs and detonate two car bombs. Sixteen people are killed, including an American student and her husband (they had been married for three weeks when the attack occurred). This is the second attack on this embassy in seven months.

Yeah, remember the massive wave of deaths that occurred during the Reagan administration when he cut the EPA budget by 30%? Do you also remember the additional millions of deaths when in that same time period, environmental laws that heavily favored industry were put it place? ...........

The selfish spirit of commerce knows no country, and feels no passion or principle but that of gain.
Thomas Jefferson - Letter to Larkin Smith (1809)

So we should only value the lives of America citizens in increments of 'millions'? Sure sound like the philosophy of despots from the 20th century.

You' Marketists' are really the identical twins of Marxists...EXACT same environmental policy and economic policy.

Environmental injury is deficit spending. It's a way of loading the cost of our generation's prosperity onto the backs of our children.

Liberals are for freedom and liberty for ALL, not just the 'few'...The rule is the commons are owned by ALL of us. They're not owned by the governor or the legislator or the coal companies and the utility. Everybody has a right to use them. Nobody has a right to abuse them. Nobody has a right to use them in a way that will diminish or injure their use and enjoyment by others.

The free market is the most efficient and democratic way to distribute the goods of the land, and that the best thing that could happen to the environment is if we had true free-market capitalism in this country, because the free market promotes efficiency, and efficiency means the elimination of waste, and pollution of course is waste. The free market also would encourage us to properly value our natural resources, and it's the undervaluation of those resources that causes us to use them wastefully. But in a true free-market economy, you can't make yourself rich without making your neighbors rich and without enriching your community.

Every one of the 28 major environmental laws were designed to restore free-market capitalism in America by forcing actors in the marketplace to pay the true cost of bringing their product to market.

But what polluters do is they make themselves rich by making everybody else poor. They raise standards of living for themselves by lowering the quality of life for everybody else, and they do that by evading the discipline of the free market. You show me a polluter; I'll show you a subsidy. I'll show you a fat cat using political clout to escape the discipline of the free market and to force the public to pay his production costs. That's what all pollution is. It's always a subsidy. It's always a guy trying to cheat the free market.

Can you prove that video had nothing to do with the attack? Can you EVEN name the attackers?? Have they told us what their motivation was???

Actually months long investigations and extensive interviews with Libyans in Benghazi who had direct knowledge of the attack there and its context said that the attack “was fueled in large part by anger at an American-made video denigrating Islam”
