A year after Obama authorized the Pentagon to spend $500 million to equip and train Syrian rebels, all that was gained was only 54 fighters — all of whom were killed, captured by terrorists in Syria or scattered when they came under attack this summer. That's $500,000,000.

Oh this gets fun.

That's the money you are told about up front.

Has anyone ever noticed no one can name the opposition in this civil war?

When we first became involved, they were just called "Syrian rebels". Assad has always been backed by Russia, and Obama and the State Department took the stance of backing those rebels in order to topple Assad. It was from those rebels that ISIS sprung up. In other words, Obama's inept military strategy pretty much gave rise to ISIS. Aside from the Kurds, there are no "good guys" in that part of the world. They're all a bunch of shitheads.

His failure has paid dividiends. His blinking on the red line destroyed any credibility we had anywhere there. His backing down on his pledge to remove Assad emboldened ISIS, which has created the refugee crisis in Europe. Soon it will be pretty fair to say that every foreign policy problem in the US is due to Obama's bungling. He is the worst president in history. And I include Baby Doc Duvalier.

A person would have to be an idiot not to agree with you. Obama's disastrous Middle Eastern policies have far surpassed those of Jimmy Carter's. We're likely to see the catastrophic effects of Obama's failed presidency for hundreds of years to come.

It is an object lesson in what happens when you withdraw American power. The narco-libtards ought to take notes here. Reducing our military overseas makes everyone less safe.
