First of all, it is awful grammar to write "antisemitic".
The word "Semitic" is a proper noun and has to be capitalized.
So if you want to throw a prefix in front, you need to use a hyphen.
That would make it "anti-Semitic".

But the word Semitic actually means "of an Arab language group", of which Hebrew is just one small example.
It comes from the word Shem, a son of Noah, who is claimed to be the father of all Arabs, including the Hebrew.
So calling an Arab anti-Semitic, is ridiculous, and that would mean he was anti-Arab.

No, the word "anti-semitic" was coined with a specific meaning in mind.

Palestinians were the vast majority in the 1920s, and could easily have wiped out the immigrating Jews, if they have any sort of animosity towards Jews.
And in fact, if there was any inherent or existing animosity back in 1920, then no Jews would have emigrated.
