What little I've gathered he has a lot in common with the Gabby Giffords and Sandy Hook shooters or the nut who shot up Marjorie Stonham in FL, and the CA nut who used a knife, gun, and car but whom the media only focused on the gun.

All with long histories of mental health issues and contacts with LE as a result but always got a pass.

Mass shooters are the subject here. You're right though, you can do far more damage with a vehicle if you time things right than you can with a firearm when attacking an unarmed crowd.
