Politico: Carson lied about admission to West Point.

There is still a way Ben Carson can preserve his lead as Presidential candidate for the Republicans...if he can get the Activist group Anonymous to link him to the KKK he may still be able to survive this thing....

Look at the thread. Most conservatives don't give a fiddler's fuck. As facts are just 'hit pieces'. And evidence is just 'leftist agendas'. Even when Carson's team admits to Carson lying......they try to change the topic to anyone else.

It won't do a thing to Carson's polling numbers. You're underestimating just how irrelevant accuracy is to his base.
Like Hillary's base?
It appears Carson did 'lie' or 'misspeak' (Hillary's most often used words). For that he should immediately withdraw.
See how's it's done LIB assholes? LIBs will carry Hillary's water no matter how much it fucking reeks from her lies.

Can Carson survive this? It's difficult to see how, although the GOP base has a lot of affection for the brilliant neurosurgeon. Part of that affection was based on the perception that he was a truth-teller to power, so exaggerating or fabricating his own life story undercuts that perception, does it not? Even assuming that this is the only exaggeration that would emerge with more scrutiny -- and that's a very risky bet on a newcomer -- the fact that Carson didn't act to correct the record on his own undermines the truth-teller narrative, too. With other options in the field, it seems unlikely that Carson can maintain his momentum after getting caught in a fabrication and admitting to it. [HotAir.com, 11/6/15]

Cain was on a book tour. He was quoting pokemon and making fun of Foreign Countries.

I'm pretty sure that the bimbo thing was cooked up by him.

Carson's on a book tour as well, so is Trump.
Gottcha - you were talking about the book tour, thing. Copy!

The pathetically sad thing - about Americans - is the fact that Hillary Rodham Clinton has been exposed for such incompetence that led to the deaths of 4 Americans, for jeopardizing our national security, for lying to the level of criminal activity (perjury before Congress)....

,,,and the media has declared her to be an 'unblemished victor' while continuing to help promote her as an unequaled champion to take the White House...

Yet this same media will now crucify a black Conservative for lying about an account regarding application to a prestigious college placed in an inspirational book with the intent of making the story more 'inspirational' in order to sell more books, before he ever considered entering into politics.

Hillary has proven she is a 'serial', pathological liar who does so at the drop of a hat to save herself and her political aspirations while Carson has lied to elevate himself and his story to sell more books...

Yet the comparison of how lies and situations of the two, by comparison, is a sad commentary on how our society has descended into a political cesspool that seeks to tear one person down while elevating another based on unequal, hypocritical arguments and political bias.

Finally, if lying is an automatic dis-qualifier for holding the office of President, not only should NEITHER Carson or Hillary be allowed to remain in the race, Obama should be dragged from the WH, and the Oval Office should / probably would remain vacant for the foreseeable future.

boohoo.

Like, desperately trying to change the topic away from Carson's lies about West Point?

You're demonstrating my point of how little conservatives give a shit about Carson's accuracy. As even when his campaign admits he lied, your ilk will ignore it. And scramble to change the topic to anyone or anything else.

Geez, AFTER Carson admits to fabricating the story, STILL we get posts like the one above.

Yeah, it's identical to Hillary's e-mails proving she lied about Benghazi and the State Department just recently releasing e-mails that prove she lied, but Liberals STILL declaring her never to have lied.... Just mind-numbing isn't it?!

You sow the wind, you reap the whirlwind. If you think YOU deserve the moral high ground,

at least try to act like you belong there.

Between November 1st and today, November 6th, Ben Carson's PolitiFact "truthiness" factor has decreased from a record-breaking 18.9% to to an even more record-breaking 17.6% (no other candidate of either party in the past 8 years has sunk so low, not even Newt Gingrich or Michele Bachmann).

And that's BEFORE this latest revelation about West Point!

As of 11/6/15, presidential candidate truthiness factor @ PolitiFact:
Candidate..................Tells the Truth

O'Malley.........................76.9%
Sanders.........................71.4%
Clinton...........................70.7%
The conservative meme is that these three lie more than any other, but PolitiFact says not.

Kasich............................68.5%
Bush..............................67.7%
Paul...............................65.9%
Rubio.............................60.9%
Fiorina...........................50.0%
Cruz...............................33.0%
Trump............................25.5%
Carson...........................17.6%

The more the GOP candidates lie, the more popular they are with the GOP base. Is this a matter of "faith", since evangelicals are the biggest supporters of Carson and Cruz?

(Not to get too far off track, but in the past the 'Washington Establishment', stuffed-shirt 'by-the-rules' 'take-the-high-road' GOP candidates refused to 'go after' Democrats and their news-noted scandals and issues. If Trump and Hillary end up getting the nominations, you think Trump is going to hold back or go for the proverbial 'throat'?)

Its not going to matter for Carson. As his supporters could give a fiddler's fuck if his claims are accurate. All they care about are if his claims *feel* accurate. The fact that they aren't play no role in their emotions.

Even when Carson's team admits he lied.....conservatives will ignore it. And desperately try to change the topic to anyone or anything else.

Yeah, I have always gotten that. The Democrats, despite all of their scandals and crime, have always claimed to have had the right to take the moral high ground.

I agree! Retards may give Carson the GOP Primary - but they can never give him the General Election.

Leftist, petty, racist, Afghanistan, hit piece, (insert random buzzword here).

Thus, none of what you just posted will have any impact on Carson supporters. As any source, regardless which, that shows anything critical of Carson is ignored because it showed anything critical of Carson.

Its like Willful Ignorance and Confirmation bias had a three way with the Cherry Picking fallacy.

Where in what you just quoted did Clinton say anything about dodging fire in Afghanistan?
Give this guy a gold star. The Hillary-haters can't seem to read with comprehension. They just let their emotions take the lead. They may say "I just got the country wrong", but you then have to ask yourself "what else have they gotten wrong?"

Nice dodge. Your post definitely gives the impression you were unaware of the sniper fire story.
Regardless, what country, the bottom line is Hillary made the story up, and it hasn't hurt her in any way shape or form.

You apparently missed the 'dodging fire in Afghanistan' part of what Konrad was replying to.

Thankfully, Konrad didn't.

Look numbnuts, the MAIN point the poster was making, was that Hillary also lied about a story.
This really isn't that hard.

And Konrad's point is that there's no such quote about Hillary 'dodging fire in Afghanistan'. That even when there is truth in a claim against Hillary, her haters can't be bothered to get their facts straight.

Again, read what you're replying to. Konrad did. Its not that hard.

Yes yes yes, I know he got the country wrong, the point is though Hillary lied, and all's Konrad could point out that the place was wrong which doesn't negate the main point.

She lied and got away with it. Carson did too, and he won't get away with it.
Hillary also claimed she was named after Sir Edmund Hillary even though she was six years old before he conquered Everest. He was a known climber, but hardly anyone in the states would have ever heard of him before his famous climb. Even Snopes pretty much concluded she was full of shit.

Not true. Unlike liberals, Conservatives do care about integrity, morals, ethics, etc. If Carson was a Liberal the media would be blowing this over, and liberal voters would be defending his ass from dawn 'til dark. We see that all the time on this board.

It was nice knowing you.

Ben Carson Campaign Admits to False West Point Story: Politico

Republican presidential candidate Ben Carson’s campaign says he wasn’t accepted to West Point military academy, Politico reports.

“He was introduced to folks from West Point by his ROTC Supervisors,” campaign manager Barry Bennett said in e-mail, according to Politico.“They told him they could help him get an appointment based on his grades and performance in ROTC. He considered it but in the end did not seek admission”NOTE: Carson wrote in 1996 book “Gifted Hands” that he turned down a full scholarship to West Point

Ben Carson Campaign Admits to False West Point Story: Politico

You genuinely underestimate how little Carson supporters give a shit if what he says is actually true.

They only care if it feels true.

I am more a Bernie Sanders guy.

So, I really don't care much about Ben.

But, here is the deal....what if it came out that Bernie lied ?

I'd be really disappointed because my support is based on a number of things....

1. He seems to care about people in the way he discusses issues.
2. He's had a pretty good run without caving to corruption (or so it appears).
3. He's honest.

A story like that would bust him on point 3 with me.

Would I drop him.

Compared to the other crooks, liars and asshats in the current race.....unless it was a massive violation of trust.

I'd still be behind him.

Don't know how this plays out for Ben.

Tough time to have it come out.

We're just shy of a year and a day of the actual election. Its too early to make any definitive statements. I prefer to embrace the zen of the bullshit of the now.

We need snopes to tell us this ???????
