And Russia stopped propping them up in the late 80s. And yet their regime didn't collapse.

Or.....you're imagining an alternate history in which the failed policy didn't fail. With 'imagining' being the operative word. While ignoring the one we actually live in. Half a century of failure is failure. It don't work. Treading the same failed path after that degree of confirmation of futility is beyond useless. Nor is imagining and 'alternate' 50 years that never happened.

Nobody breaks the seal.
Don't allow anyone out, even asylum seekers so that there are people there willing to oust their leader.
They'll fix their own damn problem.

Do you really think that you would have encouraged 'red skins' to take up arms against European usurpation of native lands? Or, would you be aligned with your current view that manifest destiny is the right of 'civilized' Christians?

And communistic control of dissidents is your idea of what? That Obama is the opposite of communistic control, or that Obama is a communistic tool? You don't even make sense.
