I remember one member of the Hageman family went to my church in Wyoming. As I recollect, the one Hageman in their family I knew was a teacher, and she was like the salt of the earth nice person. She brought one of the most beautiful traditional quilts I have ever seen into my quilt shop one day, a quilt her late mother had made when she was growing up. Years later, and 4 state bounderies south, I remembered the quilt and made one in miniature for a charity quilt for a disadvantaged kid. The royal blue sashing makes all the other colors sing a song of beautiful. I'll never forget how beautiful her mother's quilt was. The state of Wyoming was 75% Republican the 35 years I lived there. It's about 70% now. A lot of people from California have been arriving there for the last 10-15 years because they were conservatives, and felt mistreated by the mob. Liberals there are quick to destroy a vehicle with a conservative bumper sticker on it, and the conservatives got sick of it. One of them even opened an industry they called "EX-Cal" to celebrate their political relief after leaving that state where the thespian mob rules and have turned the conservatives into a lesser class with dirty tricks of every kind against good people. Wyoming is a wonderful state. Unfortunately, I was sick all winter every winter for 35 years. I still can't watch movies that have a winter theme because I can't stand the thought of catching a cold in chilly weather, which is 10 months a year in the Equality State. Wouldn't trade those memories for anything, though. The people in the state are super nice folks, 99.9%, anyway.It'll be interesting to see how many Dems vote for Cheney.
From the worry on some of her recent pictures I've seen, I think she is likely aware at least 3/4ths of her constituents are angry that she voted to impeach Trump when it came out that Hillary Clinton paid a lot of money to an Englishman to present the "Steele Dossier" that carries some salaciously false accusations on Donald Trump that were embarrassingly dissoulute and unpatriotic. Neither was he in any Russian conspiracy nor was he engaging in untoward behaviors with prostitutes as the dossier claimed. Rumor has it that it came directly from members who were on the Clinton War Room hatchet team to discourage rivals from winning elections. They invent ridiculous narratives and pass them onto naïve ears and email eyefuls. There wasn't one single iota of truth in the Steele dossiers. Not one. Yet the dossier was used to impeach President Trump twice by a hateful, lying triune of Pelosi, Nadler, and Schiff. How did we manage to get such vicious, evil people to run the Democrat Congress? The lies they told were nothing short of flagrant.The question I have for Rep. Cheney is, if Hageman wins the nomination, will she commit to supporting the Republican nominee in the November election?
Or is she an insurrectionist and a sore loser?
Calypso, you're right, that the leftist quest for power is hard to understand, but the American people have a way of righting the wrongs done by Helter-Skelter politicians. I learned from friends in church that the best thing is to love the sinner, but hate only the sin. In other words, we can vote to change behaviors that harm people in our own country as best we can. If that doesn't work, we have a court system that can enforce measures to change behaviors if our attempts to change those behaviors fail, and particularly if other people suffer because of bad behavior. Watching the situation of Georgia when a hidden camera revealed vote-changing after the observers were sent home. No state wants people to turn away from voting when they perceive their votes are being cancelled by intentional stuffing of ballots. So the state denies point by point each damaging behavior picked up on a quite neutral, but telling video. To make matters worse, the telling video was taken off the net and is no longer around for perusal or discovery.Just thinking here......the left pulled a yuge, YUGE BONER cheating in the 2020 election. They'd have done FAR better if they'd just sucked it up and put up with another 4 years. NOW....we see they'll do anything to hold onto power...we see more and more the corruption in the biden crime family...now pelousy is being exposed and people hate the left's guts. They also hate the stinking rino/repunks guts too. And we hate those people who mislead the president and gave him bad advice intentionally. I mean you Birx, Fauxci. and many other backstabbers. Thank you, Calypso. To tell the truth, I looked it up just now. And it appears to me that it doesn't support the Constitution that gives State Legislatures oversight of their own state voting standards, and Executive Orders should be more carefully monitored to ensure they do not infringe upon the Constitution's wise conventions nor against individual state requirements as the Constitution allows. A President passing a voting EO that is not in accordance with the Constitution should have been nixed by the Senate or the House. Unfortunately, I'm afraid it has become a partisan issue, and Bernie Sanders, seems to have his finger in every executive pie lately, his Socialist Party seems to be in direct opposition from the Constitution and the Founders' intentions. Partisanship is not a guarantee that the people's best interests are being acknowledged. And people should never have their vote changed, rearranged, or written in by a partisan overseer. Trump didn't even need to support anyone in this race. Cheney was already toast. In the very, very beginning I actually supported Cheney because I think people have the right to their own opinion, even if I disagree with it and I agree with her opinions most of the time. So, back then, it was not an issue for me. I'm not even a Trump supporter but more of a Trump defender from the left's insane nonsense. Unfortunately, Liz caught a severe case of TDS and has never been able to recover from it, thinking that, in her obsessed quest to get Trump, that it was OK to take the whole Republican party down with Trump. She knew Democrats were using her for political advantage and yet she signed on the dotted line to let them use her to further their goals. That was an act of treason to her own party. Now, she will soon have nothing. Her choices are to take a stinging defeat and flip burgers for the rest of her life or to become a democrat and try representing policies she hasn't agreed with in her entire life, except for the fact that democrats don't win in Wyoming and no democrat would actually vote for her in a general election, after getting their use out of her.
