did you see the pictures....it is wholly incorrect to say mississippi didn't suffer as N.O. did....

Read you post Ravi and one of the comments given about said post is:

Your argument is that New Orleans did not flood because it was below sea level, it flooded because the levees broke. Sure, the levee breaks let the water flow into New Orleans. But the fact remains that New Orleans is a bowl surrounded by water. Water that is higher than the city itself. The water from the levee breaks flowed into New Orleans because it is below sea level.

This comment makes a lot of sense also. The levees broke, sure but how much damage would have been done if NO wasn't a below sea level bowl??

Sure. You can blame the Feds but I blame the iincompetant leadership in the City and the Gov and the idiots who didn't evacuate.

That's incredible! I didn't realize that people in Mississippi were washed out to sea! I do have to agree with another user here that it's not too bright to rebuilt in an area susceptible to damage, especially if the problems can't really be fixed properly (for instance being below sea level).

So?

Mississippi suffered nothing in comparison to New Orleans.

Those photos ARE of Mississippi. Biloxi to be exact. Everything was wiped off the foundations by a monster surge. Those people were washed out to sea unlike New Orleans folks.
