At present the country is in the middle of a project called Real ID.

In future, I say we put citizenship status as a data point on those chips and let polling places scan them in after a photo check.

With free or subsidized ID cards for those who cannot afford it, there is no excuse for not having one.

As we have seen with the stories that have come out that illegals who get welfare assistance are given a voter registration card, with no proof of citizenship required, there’s no telling how many illegals are registered to vote in federal elections, and since they are registered in the system, they don’t show up as an “ineligible vote”, so nobody is looking at them.

With all of the lax voter registration laws, it would be easy for illegals to get registered to vote. I’ve mentioned one in California, motor voter registration. How many have slipped through the cracks there. Register to vote using a utility bill as ID..how many have slipped through the cracks on that one. Get a license or sign up for welfare?
