The source of a plan does affect the plan.

Reagan worked, successfully towards nuclear reduction, the first (only?) president to get a treaty to eliminate a whole class of nuclear weapons.

He did it by developing a position of strength FIRST, by deploying cruise missiles, that the Soviets desperately wanted to get rid of.

And the treaty was a fair treaty where both sides gave up similar amounts, so that the US position was not weakened.


Obama, would not have done any of that.

Obama negotiated a START treaty to bring down nuclear warheads to 1500

What would happen if the U.S. Dropped its number of warheads down to ten?

Let me guess...

Iran and N Korea would each end up with more nukes than us, where they could give us the option of surrendering o begin losing major cities???

We have the capability to put TEN nukes on their most populated cities with precision. Our ten nukes could take out tens of millions of their citizens and would destroy their economies

They lack the ability for long range strikes.

I have no idea what a centerfuge is. I am quite familiar with centrifuges, and they are not that hard to build.

To refine uranium you need a VERY sophisticated centerfuge. Technology Iran does not have. It took years for Iran to refine the uranium stockpiles they had to the level you can obtain nuclear fission
They gave up those stockpiles in the agreement

Many people are partisan leftists that still can't believe the luck of the man, that the Soviet Union just HAPPENED to collapse, just as he said it would, and just as he worked so hard so that it would, so soon after his time in office when all of their brilliant and wise leaders told them that not only was Reagan wrong, but even talking like that was dangerous.
