I really don't know why states still do Caucus's. For both parties they typically represent less than 1% of the party that will bother to show up. They disenfranchise so many. Typically they are held after dark where the elderly can't see to drive at night, overseas military can't cast a ballot, young parents with children who can't get a babysitter, and people who work when the caucus is being held.

Tonight is another reflection of the extreme differences. Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton are winning the primary states, and Ted Cruz and Bernie Sanders are winning the Caucus states. Caucus states typically will go to the underdogs in a race, because supporters of an underdog are certain to show up, spend 3 hours at a meeting and cast a vote. With representing less than 1% of the party on either side of the isle, they are in no way any kind of indication of which candidate that state really wants.

In Colorado last Tuesday students at CU couldn't even get into the building to cast a vote. Albeit that Hillary Clinton would have easily won this state with a primary and she would have won Oklahoma, Kansas and every other caucus state that Bernie has picked up. A primary gives voters several days to stop by their polling places and case a vote for the nominee.

Since this disaster--Colorado is going back to a Presidential primary ballot. Finally something that both Democrats & Republicans agree on.
