Just curious as to what your view on eschatology is regarding the Rapture. Please; just a quick agreement with one of the 3 main views. Which view are you? We can discuss why if you like but we have an end time thread. This is just a thread to get to know where everyone stands. A fourth option is always welcome. Thanks guys.

Question: "What is Christian Eschatology?"

Answer:
Eschatology is the study of what the Bible says is going to happen in the end times. Many treat Eschatology as an area of theology to be avoided. Of course, Eschatology is not as crucial as Christology or Soteriology. That does not mean, though, that it is unimportant to a Biblical worldview. How we understand Eschatology has an impact on how we should live our lives and what we are to expect to occur in God's plan. Some important issues in Eschatology are these:

What is the Rapture? The word "rapture" does not occur in the Bible. The concept of the Rapture, though, is clearly taught in Scripture. The Rapture of the church is the event in which God removes all believers from the earth in order to make way for His righteous judgment to be poured out on the earth during the Tribulation period.

Eclectic. Used to be a Christian. Prefer the Old Testament now.

When Jesus spoke of his return and said, "One will be taken, the other will be left behind", he was saying that one person would understand, the other will not, just as it was when he appeared the first time. It is not about people vanishing into thin air and is a reference to the resurrection of 'those who sleep in the dust of the earth" spoken of in the book of Daniel.

Many shall purify themselves and be refined making their robes shining white, but the wicked shall continue in wickedness and none of them shall understand. Daniel 12:10

When Jesus said that " this generation will live to see it all" including his return, he was not speaking about individuals living at the time, he was speaking of the 'generation of error' that teaches people a literal interpretation and application of divine law based on the Mishnah, the oral law, what Jesus referred to as the traditions of men, an age of darkness that people since the time of Jesus have lived through, a tribulation of every malediction that he foretold consequent to literalism that still persists to this day.

Post trib rapture. The experience of the church like that of Christ is to go through suffering and even martyrdom not to escape it.

I loved the Left Behind series and like to read Dispensationalist and Catholic schemas of the end times but I do not think that the Bible is as clear as many of us would like about the details of the end times.

There are things you can say 100% like
- Jesus is coming back
- Judgment Day
- Resurrection etc

There are other things that are not so clear and perhaps we need to show more humility about.

Well, I don't think people are going to literally disappear one day, leaving behind the rest.

Pretribulation, I believe God removes his Chirch and believers so we don't suffer through it.
