Probably not significant is a phrase being overused by Conservative pundits.

When Roe was overturned. We heard how it probably wouldn’t be significant in the electoral chances of Republicans this November. Biden was still terrible. The economy was awful. And Trump was picking winners. When the Polls started showing Democratic gains. It wasn’t significant. Biden was still awful. The economy is terrible. And the people didn’t support Abortion in anything like the numbers needed to stop the Republicans from taking charge.

The vote in Kansas which went heavily against Conservatives regarding Abortion. It wasn’t significant. It was a momentary thing that reflected the bad press Conservatives got because of Roe. It won’t last.

A Special Election in a Republican favored district is now not significant.

Not significant seems to be like the running joke in the Princess Bride. You know the one.

This is insignificant seems to be suffering from overuse. Perhaps it is significant that the RW keeps telling us the signs of their slipping popularity are not significant.

The vote in Kansas reflected, what the Conservatives wanted on this issue...the people of the state deciding

Kansas has some strong abortions rules on the books, They did not want or need any out side demands or laws forced on them.

That wasn’t the question on the Ballot. It was an effort to overturn the Kansas State Supreme Court ruling that Women had a State Constitutional right to Abortion.

This is the Republican response right about now....

So that is why the people behind it were describing plan B. Vote the Supreme Court out of office and put anti-Abortion people in so they could respect the will of the voters. Got it

No. But apparently you can the Kansas Supreme Court.

Which is what I was talking about.

What does the Kansas SC have to do with it? The SCOTUS, ruled that the states can decide, the state of Kansas voted, and made a law. That's what the SCOTUS decided was perfectly legal.

Ok. Stay with me. The Kansas State Supreme Court ruled in 2019 that a woman has the right to an Abortion under the Kansas State Constitution. The vote the Conservatives lost would have overruled that decision from the State Supreme Court.

The advocates for banning Abortion now plan on voting the State Supreme Court Justices out of office. Then they can have another decision to overturn the first one. Just like Roe.

If you can’t win at the ballot box. Win in court.

That made no sense whatsoever. A state court should not be deciding it, people and the state legislatures should and will be.

Voting Dems into US Congress isn’t going to help get them abortion back, only the state legislatures will.

The other thing you seem to be missing is that just because people voted that abortion can be allowed, doesn’t mean they believe in abortion on demand up to 9 months, which is the Democrat position. If they put restrictions on the ballet, I guarantee you those will pass as well.

You are talking about a lot of things that make zero sense. The people of Kansas, did just what the SCOTUS said should happen...pass a law. Kansas SC, is bound by the law...and the SCOTUS.

Read this. With the links. Get back to me.

We almost agree. Almost.

You are right. Most people don’t support abortion up to birth. But by the same token. They do not support banning it entirely.

Nothing short of banning it entirely will satisfy the Conservatives. While protecting it to the third Trimester will satisfy the Left and the majority.

The Conservatives are the extremists on this issue. The polling supports that. The vote in Kansas. A solidly Red State supports that.

You just contradicted your own statement.

An obviously red state voted for some abortion to be allowed, but they will also vote to heavily restrict it.

Show me when Democrats have ever agreed to anything less than 9 month abortions. You can’t, because they will never agree to any restrictions. Meanwhile red states have passed restrictions like the “heartbeat bill” and anything past first trimester is banned in some states. Those are certainly restrictions that still allow abortion.

A Democrat winning in New York, wow, that's a major development. Republicans should be scared, that never happens.

Fucking ass
