Who are the productive citizens, and what are productive citizens? And, what percentage of citizens are classified as being productive and contributors?

EXAMPLE: - non-productive citizens
(1) Those in prisons and jails
(2) Those totally dependent on government assistance programs, charity, help from friends and family, and are unemployed
(3) Those totally disabled, the handicapped, the mentally challenged, and are unemployed
(4) The elderly and children - [totally dependent]
(5) Those able to work but are unemployed
(6) Those retired and are not employed

EXAMPLE: - productive citizens
(1) Those gainfully employed, and are self-supporting
(2) Those employed, and are not self-supporting
(3) Business owners
(4) Those self-employed
****** - Politicians, the president, members of Congress, etc. could be debated as to their productivity and contributions ( economically speaking )

EXAMPLE: other
(1) Those serving in the military ( including those serving in the Pentagon, and those stationed at foreign military bases )
(2) Religious leaders [pastors, preachers, etc.]

What would you guess to be the percentage of citizens that are, or could be, classified as productive and contributors ( economically speaking )?
