In the 1950s, when America Was Great Again, the top marginal tax rate was 90%. In the 1960s and 1970s (was America Still Great Again?) the top marginal rate was in the 70%-80% range. In the 1980's (great?) Regan dropped that rage to 28% because of 'trickle down' that did not 'trickle down'. After that it went up to the 30-40% range and has stayed there. And they say they are being taxed to death. Right. To. Death.

Rich people's money must be protected so I'm not sure your question matters. Fair share is not important.
