Idea: If any person wants to run for office and be a representative of We The People, they should have to qualify by having run their own business for a set amount of time. They should have to pass mental acuity tests and an anal-exam security probe.

Wrong answer. Abraham Lincoln and Harry Truman were lousy businessmen. I guess you want Bill Gates, Elon Musk, and Jeff Bezos running the country?

I guess you would eliminate all lawyers, teachers, and the military veterans from serving? That would take care of most of the Congress right there.

Good luck with that Constitutional Amendment. You could not find a single member of Congress to sponsor it.

1). We as voters get to scour their tax returns for the last 20 years
2). Must have served in military.
3). Business owning is not necessary and proves less than nothing.

Tax returns are only required for 7 years, and what do you expect to find? If someone is a crook, they know how to hide it in their tax returns.

What about those who were not qualified physically to serve in the military?

I agree about businesses, but then again I think the whole idea is just plain stupid!
