Depends on the pistol. Revolvers typically hold six rounds, but some hold seven. Semi-automatics can hold as many as 19 in a standard magazine.

No information has been released by the police on the particular brand and model, other than the fact that it was a 9mm handgun. Those usually have a magazine capacity of between 10-15 rounds. He also legally-purchased the pistol.

If the shooter had used an AR-15 style rifle, that would be all over the news. But the fact that he used a pistol doesn't support the narrative for more gun control.

Depending on the gun it could hold between 15-19.......and then if you have a dumb extended magazine you can hold more.

But even a gun with 10 rounds could kill that many people at close range .....

However, in Europe, they murdered 15 million innocent men, women and children between 1939-1945......

Actually, that isn't true. The majority of mass public shootings have been done with handguns. It is only recently, after the anti-gun fanatics popularized the AR-15 that mass public shooters are using them. The anti-gun fanatics want to ban the AR-15 so they have played it up more and more in the press....and like anything else, advertising can effect what people use......blame the anti-gun fanatics when you see an AR-15 used in a mass public shooting.

Technically speaking a "pistol" is a self loading semi-automatic handgun with a magazine that can hold a double stack of up to 20 rounds. A revolver is a different weapon and generally holds only five to six rounds in a cylinder.
