Does reading a Bible make you Christian terrorists?

ISIS is just a street gang with military hardware. That's all. They're no more Muslim than Latino gangs are Catholic or Christian.

I'm baffled by your logic here, Delta. ISIS is attempting to form a Muslim Caliphate in the Middle East. They are hardly a "street gang". They are radical Muslims but Muslims non the less.

Exactly. And to define ISIS as a street gang? YIKES!

As to the Caliphate Baghdadi declared his in Syria. I'll try to get the date. And it is based in Islamic faith. I don't understand the desperate need for people to try and convince everyone that radical Muslims are secular.

It's bizarre.

Delta ISIS has established a caliphate. Just found the date. June 29, 2014

Here's the definition.

A caliphate (Arabic: خِلافة‎ khilāfa) is a form of Islamic government led by a caliph (Arabic: خَليفة‎ khalīfah pronunciation (help·info))—a person considered a political and RELIGIOUS successor to the Islamic prophet, Muhammad (Muḥammad ibn ʿAbdullāh), and a leader of the entire Muslim community.

And for a further understanding.....

Difference between caliphate and democracy
Source of legislation
In a democracy, laws are made by an assembly elected by the people; in a caliphate, the sources of legislation are supposed to be the Qur'an and the Sunnah۔ Concerning the supremacy of God in making laws rather than people, the Qur'an states:

Say, "Allah is most knowing of how long they remained. He has [knowledge of] the unseen [aspects] of the heavens and the earth. How Seeing is He and how Hearing! They have not besides Him any protector, and He shares not His legislation with anyone." (18:26)

"Legislation is not but for Allah". (12:40)

[We said], "O David, indeed We have made you a caliph upon the earth, so judge between the people in truth and do not follow [your own] desire, as it will lead you astray from the way of Allah." Indeed, those who go astray from the way of Allah will have a severe punishment for having forgotten the Day of Account. (38:26)

Funny how all the terror and murder done in the name of Muhammad and Islam....while Muslims are waving their Korans and citing verses from it, squealing "Allah Akbar!"....shooting innocent people point blank range................"ain't Muslim"!

Maybe this is all a terrible mistake and they're doing it for Bhudda? Ha ha ha.

Sez who?! A bunch of Muslims living in the secular West?

The Pope is a Christian but not Christianity. Clear now?

They are engaged in jihad. By definition jihad is a Holy war. You can't take religion out of the definition.

No, a jihad is a struggle. It can mean war but it means to struggle: Jihad: A Misunderstood Concept from Islam - What Jihad is, and is not

Right, so when Hillary Clinton says radical jihadists she means radical strugglers. Ha ha ha. Terrorist apologists are hilarious! OMG.

No, she means those at war with the west, which they are but jihad does not mean war, it means a struggle. A jihad can be against oneself, like a Muslim kid having a jihad to finish high school or avoid sexual relations.

The Pope is a Christian but not Christianity. Clear now?
That is correct.

However, the Pope is a devout follower of Christiantity with far greater knowledge of it than the average person, as are ISIS, Al Queda, and all Islamic terror groups who all claim to be devout Muslims.
ISIS, a caliphate, is an idea buried deep within Islam. You can kill who is trying to make a caliphate but not the idea itself, it is Islamic: What ISIS Really Wants

The Pope might dismiss the end of the world but it is very clearly an element of Christianity just as it is in Islam.

No, a jihad is a struggle. It can mean war but it means to struggle: Jihad: A Misunderstood Concept from Islam - What Jihad is, and is not

There is a greater Jihad and a lesser Jihad. Scholars are still debating over the Prophet's quote.

The Greater Jihad controversy
The Prophet is said to have called the internal Jihad the "greater Jihad".

On his return from a battle, the Prophet said: "We are finished with the lesser jihad; now we are starting the greater jihad." He explained to his followers that fighting against an outer enemy is the lesser jihad and fighting against one's self is the greater jihad (holy war).

This quotation is regarded as unreliable by some scholars. They regard the use of jihad as meaning 'holy war' as the more important.

However the quotation has been very influential among some Muslims, particularly Sufis.

As I said:

"Jihad

The literal meaning of Jihad is struggle or effort, and it means much more than holy war.

Muslims use the word Jihad to describe three different kinds of struggle:

  • A believer's internal struggle to live out the Muslim faith as well as possible
  • The struggle to build a good Muslim society
  • Holy war: the struggle to defend Islam, with force if necessary"

Good grief Paint. Military jihad is a reality.

And the last time we had Caliphates was when? Muslims want to take the world back to 7th century. They refuse to assimilate or coexist, and then we wonder why immigrants from Muslim countries lash out and start killing innocent people in Western cities, in the name of Islam?

There are anti terrorism militia all over major US cities now guarding hotels, malls, restaurants, events, etc. we are in a state of war without realizing it. But wait! It has nothing to do with Islam!

That's correct but don't misuse the word.
