Reid: Letter with ricin or poison sent to senator

WASHINGTON (AP) — Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid says a letter containing ricin or another poision was sent to the office of Sen. Roger Wicker of Mississippi.

In brief remarks to reporters in the Capitol, Reid did not say when the letter was sent. It's customary for mail addressed to congressional offices to be screened at an off-site facility.

Sen. Mary Landrieu also confirmed a letter containing poison had been to a sent to a senator.

Sen. Claire McCaskill (D-Mo.) said members were briefed that the substance had been found in a letter and a suspect has been identified.

McCaskill said the letter came from an individual who frequently writes to lawmakers. She wouldn’t identify the person but confirmed officials had identified someone.

McCaskill said state offices have been told what to look for if there are more letters containing the toxic substance.

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) confirmed the letter was sent to Wicker’s office and said at this point, the incident appeared to be a solitary one.

seems like this could be a nutter

hmmm...sent to a republican senator

shall we jump to the same assumption as the giffords shooting?

How about if, just once, you nutter rw's don't jump to any conclusions at all?

How about if, just this one time, you wait for FACTS and THEN go off, half cocked, screaming about how this is proof the commies are comin' fer yer guns.

Sheesh.

?

Perfectly reasonable for it to be sent to this (R) senator. He signed the Gun Bill last week. One of 16 Republicans to do so. Could be retaliation.

huh? did i make any conclusions here? no. are you always this stupid?

says the idiot who immediately claim loughner shot giffords because she was liberal and you blamed right wing radio rhetoric without knowing any facts and were in fact proven wrong.

how about you tell the truth for once?

Barack Obama's mentor, Frank Marshall Davis was on the FBI's list of first persons to be seized should the United States and the Soviet Union go to war with each other.
Valerie Jarret is the daughter in law of a member of the Old Chicago Communist School.
David Axelrod was mentored by another member of the Old Chicago Communist School.
His mother, grandmother and garndfather were all Commies as was his father. What kind of an idiot names their daughter Stanley, anyway?
Mr Obama admitted he sought out the farthest Left, miost radical students on campus to chum around with, that was when he wasn't shouting "Interception" in the Choomwagon.
Mr Obama is an avid fan of income redistribution "Sometimes you've made enough money" "You didn't build that!" He even laid down his plans to install a Communist government upon the United States at Loyola University in 1998. Admittedly, he doesn't have the hammer and sickle branded or stamped onto his forehead but there ain't much difference between him and Vlad Lenin, Joseph Stalin, Nikita Kruschev whenever the opens his mouth. The few times when he's not sounding like a died in the wool Commie, he's outright lying.
"If it looks like a duck, walks like a duck, and quacks like a duck its a duck" and Barack Obama is as Communist as a duck can get.
This POS ain't no JFK.

Sheesh.

I have a friend at university who teaches history. He has asked someone to give a guest lecture on conspiracies and the Americans who love them. He will be asking many of our own CT lovers as well as others to provide him with information and reasons why they are driven to Conspiracy La La Land.

Of course, we should. The Dems have yet to apologize for all that shit, so must still think it's okay to blame anyone but the actual person responsible. I guess that means we should follow their example. (since they claim they're always right)

Afraid you democrats don't have the market locked up for jumping to partisan conclusions?
