I don't know how it gets back from going off the rails like this. I only see two possibilities: Maybe if its "media" voices to find a way to do an about-face, but that's not going to happen on a large enough scale. Or, the under-performance we've seen in the last couple of elections continues and gets worse, until they can clearly see what they have done.

And by then, how far left will the country have been dragged?
