There was plenty of impeachable and convictable items for Rump but the MAGAts controlled the senate right then and would not rule to have him removed. The problem is, he thinks he got away with things and just continued to do more grandiose crimes thinking that he would get away with them. Well, MAGAt, he's on trial for many of his crimes and the US is no longer going to tolerate his crimes. You notice that if he were to win in 2024, things would be shoved to the extreme right into the Fascist world fast. He was one step away from accomplishing a Mussolini takeover in 2021 but he didn't quite control all of the Congress and the Military told him to pound sand. He controls the House and the Judicial right now and he isn't even President. We cannot afford another Mussolini, Hitler, Putin or Stalin in the United States.

Of course the subtext of the OP was to whine about the blob being impeached. It is a tired hagged argument that they keep bringing up. But since it has been broached...lets go back in time a few years and look at the first impeachment (or the second one). Lets say that the GOP controlled Senate had voted to remove the blob from office. Where would the GOP be right now? Well, they'd have a field of candidates who are running for President without having to appeal to the single-digit IQ Trump voter who believes that covid was imported, exporters pay tariffs, that there was widespread voter fraud, and that Trump is not a complete wholesale scumbag. The GOP would be healthier.
As DGS49 put it...Trump isn't going to win.
But he is going to be the nominee if he is still alive; accused, arraigned, convicted, or incarcerated....he's your rotting lemon and he's not going to be elected. Had the GOP had the courage in 2018; they wouldn't have to go through the upcoming four years of whining about phantom voter fraud, non-existent suppression, the supposedly biased media, etc....

I'm not sure what the bigger story is, how openly corrupt Biden is or the inability of the GOP to begin impeachment proceedings for it because they are also corrupt like Joe.A democrat.
