Just more evidence of the sorry state of American politics. The polarization which grows year by year has created an environment that keeps good people out of politics. People don't go into politics to solve American's problems. They enter politics to do battle with the opposition, to discredit, and to block any proposal from the opposition. It's not what you do that get's you reelected. It what's you say. Most of the people we send to Washington accomplish nothing. Only 1 in 10 voters say they voted for the incumbent because he did a good job.
