Republicans in 2 to 1 ratio say they would support Israel over US if interests were divided

Do you support US or Israel when their interests are divided?

  • Total voters
    20
I didn't put it that way. That was the way it was. It was the disingenuous OP that made the claim that Republicans support Israeli interests over American 2 - 1.

:wtf:

Republicans by a ratio of more than 2-to-1 say the U.S. should support Israel even when its stances diverge with American interests, a new Bloomberg Politics poll finds. Democrats, by roughly the same ratio, say the opposite is true and that the U.S. must pursue its own interests over Israel's.

Are you just illiterate, or are you being disingenuous?

Interesting, your article implies nothing of the sort.

Then you didn't fucking read it, did you?

So republicans are traitors to this country....not really a surprise...republicans here please tell us do you support the US or Israel when the 2 nations interests are different?
As an ally of the United States, My support of the United States is the same thing as My support of Israel.

If the interests of Michigan and Louisiana are different, it does not mean that I will support the USA any less, or be a traitor to either state if I happen to agree with one over the other.

Your poll is full of false premises and faulty logic.

Do try to get an adult to help you before posting.
Do ALL republicans have problems with reading comprehension? It very clearly says IF US and Israel interests are divided on one subject who would you support.

It is American to support Israel.

It is un-American to let your support of a country eclipse your loyalty to your own.

It is American to support Israel and it is also right to support Israel no matter your nationality. I support Israel and those who support Israel I stand by - if Obama doesn't support Israel or says our interests and Israel's interests are not mutual then I support Israel over any decision he makes on behalf of America. He represents America but he does not represent me in his actions towards Benjamin Netanyahu and Israel. I find his behavior towards Bibi and Israel to be both reprehensible and embarrassing. I vote Israel.
No its not. Its American to be Pro American and again we aren't talking about ANY specific president we are talking about the country.
How odd. I became aware politically some time in the 60s, and ever since that time it was possible to support Israel AND the United States.

Nowadays, antisemitic leftist children demand it be one or the other.
Its also very possible that Israel and the US go in different directions on things. We are NOT and should NOT be tied at the hip. We are separate nations for a reason.
Oh there is no circumstance in which I would support the current US Federal Government. Zero... None ... Nada.

There is no question, if the US screwed Israel I would stand with Israel over the cult.
And you deserve a charge of treason and the punishment for that carried out forthwith.

Our interests aren't divided. We support Netanyahu over Obama.
Another incompetent republican...really starting to think this why republican party wins sometimes...useful idiots who don't READ or COMPREHEND what they are reading.
I actually comprehend much better than you. Your question demands that if the United States was at odds with Israel on ONE Issue, that I have to drop every aspect of support for Israel. Which is why I phrased My answer the way I did.

There is no need to stop supporting Israel or any of our ally's on a point of contention between us. My first loyalty is to the USA (this cannot be said of the left), but since the USA is allied with Israel, support of the US IS support of Israel.

See, not too hard to follow.

Have a good day.
Nope not all support just who would you support in that disagreement...What if the US and Israel were at war?

It will never get that far. Let me tell you why. It would be the equivalent of committing suicide (for America). In other words, the US would be striving against God Almighty. Not Israel. Obama has already placed America under a curse by his actions towards Israel. To be clear.

With that said.... The Scriptures are very clear that there would come a day when all the nations would turn against Israel and it will be God that comes to the defense of Israel. God protects what is His. Never doubt it. He knows how to take care of what belongs to Him.

Woe to the nation that strives against God.

lol....wow...someone that takes the bible literally....funny stuff...Do you follow ALL the bible literally or just nit pick what you like?

Go move to Israel. We don't want your kind here anyway.

They always nitpick what they like. I happened to end up at a restaurant with a business associate who was eating shrimp salad and a pork chop while wearing a linen or silk blouse and a wool skirt. She said gays getting married was against the Bible.

The poll question:

When it comes to relations between the U.S. and Israel, which of the following do you agree with more?

Israel is an important ally, the only democracy in the region, and we should support it even if our interests diverge[Or]

Israel is an ally but we should pursue America’s interests when we disagree with them.

The findings:

When it comes to relations between the U.S. and Israel, which of the following do you agree with more? (Read options. Rotate.)

45 Israel is an important ally, the only democracy in the region, and we should support it even if our interests diverge

47 Israel is an ally but we should pursue America's interests when we disagree with them

Now tell me where it says that Republicans back Israeli interests over American 2 to 1. The public education bit is no excuse.

I can only hope to god you smote her.

God Hates Shrimp

What it means is that GOPers hate the black guy or Dems so much they're irrational. Also 67 years of blindly Pro-Israel propaganda. Giving Palestinians some dignity and the ability to support their families is NOT destroying Israel.

There is no potential for the US to have valid interests which diverge at any significant level from those of Israel.

Put it this way, Islam is irrelevant to US interests, and anyone who sets Islam's interests as being relevant to US Interests is, by virtue of that position, irrelevant, and is working in direct opposition to the principles that define America.

So say israel wantes to sell our military technology to hypothetically speaking china.

No diverging of interests there?

Let's say we caught israel spying on us... would you consider the potential punishment of that spy a diverging interest?

Currently spying on us is as necessary às spying on Iran. Under this evil regime there is no difference. obumble is to all intents and purposes an agent of Iran.

Now tell me where it says that Republicans back Israeli interests over American 2 to 1.

In the results of the question. Read your own link. Some questions were specifically asked only for those individuals identifying with certain political persuasions.

Your first sentence has absolutely nothing to do with the following four. Therefore, you come off as both unfocused and skewed by personal bias (your hate for 'communism' and 'pigs').

Furthermore, we were talking about how he did 'nothing' during his presidency, and now, apparently, he did so much that you can't even pick a topic and stick with it. Whether it is or not, people will look at the topic jumping as deflection.

(I feel like I'm training you for a competitive debate tomorrow at school  All I want is an intelligent discourse. If you can't provide that, I'll look elsewhere.)
All you've talked about is me trying to deflect. Is that not deflecting? You don't post anything with any content.

Read again, Supes.

I just said the scattered narrative you put out looks like deflection, not that it is.
What I spoke about (at great lengths) is your lack of a coherent point.
You still lack one.

Did he do 'nothing', or did he do too much? You can't decide..

He did nothing good but too much bad. He lied about the healthcare bill to get public support. He said you could keep your same doctor and that prices wouldn't go up. You could not keep your same doctor and prices did go up. I thought you were smart enough to realize what I'm saying. I didn't know I was talking to a 3rd grader that needs every detail explained to him.

We get it, you dislike the results of the ACA. I'm sorry you feel that way.

MY point was it has nothing to do with communism, despite your insistence on mentioning the word in half of your posts.
I'd rather use more extreme wording like Liberals do to even the playing field. If I said socialist it would have less of an effect since many countries are socialist. My dislike is the fact that I don't like his policies since they negatively effect me, my family, and my freedom of choice. Our president is also the typical lying politician. All of them lie...

So... You use an inaccurate term just to make it sound worse than it is? You don't want to use a term that more closely describes it on the grounds that the world, as a whole, is more tolerant of it? You choose to use the wrong term SOLELY to misrepresent what you're arguing against? THAT is your reasoning?

You, sir, just lost this one.

Here  have one for the road.

I just want to make sure that everyone had the chance to read this America hating bullshit.

It is in America's interests to have good relations with the sworn enemies of Israel because we have been an importer of oil from the Middle East for decades. We do not import oil from Israel.

So, yes, our interests do diverge from Israel.

Kinda of damned if you do damned if you don't vote , heh. What happens if you support both? Your balls fall off or something?
