RIP.

Great guy. I met him in 1987 at Greenville, S.C. I was the only white guy in the crowd when I went over to meet him. I put my hand out to shake his and he grabbed it and pulled me into the center of the circle. He introduced me to his wife and chatted with me a bit. Later, at the concert, he mingled with all of us in the crowd during the breaks. He seemed to enjoy the fellowship of ALL people.
