t-rump take the republican party down single handed

Washington (CNN)Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus spoke to Donald Trump about the direction of his campaign and his impact on down-ballot races, sources tell CNN.

The two are already in regular contact and this particular conversation was described to CNN as not confrontational -- as a Time Magazine piece suggested Thursday -- but rather as a broad overview of the state of the race and the ramifications of Trump's freewheeling style.

Looks like Republucans may pull all funding from Trump

Brilliant because it will certainly help the GOP downticket if Donald has to resort to saying whatever will get him as the first story on every news broadcast just to get airtime.

Maybe the RNC should mount a mirror campaign with professional staffers, ads, etc for Trump so Trump doesn't have to do all the heavy lifting.

It will do just the opposite. Every time Trump blurts out stupidities, the more he stains down ballot candidates. Governor Herbert's avowal to vote for Trump may well cost Mia Love her congressional seat. Utahns despise Trump and are not thrilled with Herbert now.

Utah will vote for the LDS puppet.

Republicans have certainly sold out to the Clintons. The clinton machine must have incredible dossiers on these people.

She is not at 50% and only 3 points ahead of Owens. She is vulnerable.

Hillary is having trouble with that 50% margin. Do you consider her vulnerable?

Not to Trump, most likely not at all. To Johnson, possibly if not probably. We have seen Trump try to turn it around several times, and then the fucker shoots off his mouth again. He is congenitally a blabber mouth who cannot help himself. He is in the public spot light, 24/7 to the end of the campaign, and he cannot control his mouth.

“[T]he conversation was frank, with Priebus increasingly frustrated with the direction of Trump's campaign, according to multiple Republican sources.

[T]he goal of the conversation with Trump was to explain that his comments can cause consequences -- not just for his race, but for the rest of the GOP ticket. Members of Congress are fighting their own tough reelection battles -- ones that may cause them to split with Trump or be critical of the GOP nominee on occasion.”

Too little, too late – the damage has already been done.

He's still not Hillary and that will get him lots of votes.

"He's still not Hillary and that will get him lots of votes," yeah, about 30% total.

Even other Republicans are saying that Trump has seriously gone off of the rails.

Today he said Obama was the founder of ISIL. Many Republicans are saying that Trump is making a mistake in saying that because it's simply not true.

Trump just says whatever he thinks the room wants to hear, even if he said the opposite the day before.

He may end up getting less than 30% of the vote.

If Trump keeps amping up the crazy, he's gonna lose to Hillary like Carter lost to Reagan.
