Trump is now a retired private citizen. So why is he taking charity from the RNC?
Is he broke or just a freeloader?
Trump will decide what to do when he decides which way he can line his pockets. Does he continue to freeload off the RNC by not running, or pay his own legal bills & run?If he runs there won't be any legal bills... no way the DOJ goes after a primary winner that is running for president....
ABC “news” appears to have no actual source. But Adam_Clayton will lap it up anyway because that’s his game.‘Republican leaders who worry that Donald Trump could hurt their midterm chances by announcing a presidential run too soon are hoping he'll be dissuaded from doing so by the prospect of losing hundreds of thousands of dollars in legal payments, according to an RNC official.
Since October 2021, the Republican National Committee has paid nearly $2 million to law firms representing Trump as part of his defense against personal litigation and government investigations.
But an RNC official told ABC News that as soon as Trump would announce he is running for president, the payments would stop because the party has a "neutrality policy" that prohibits it from taking sides in the presidential primary.’
RNC warning to Trump: If you run for president, we stop paying your legal bills, says official
Some GOP leaders are hoping the prospect of losing massive legal payments would dissuade Donald Trump from announcing a presidential run too soon.abcnews.go.com
Republicans have only themselves to blame.
Trump's not screwed... look.... the DOJ stopped short of saying that they are indeed opening up a criminal investigation... they haven't pulled the trigger... its a trial balloon and I think they got big pushback from a lot of people....Trump will decide what to do when he decides which way he can line his pockets. Does he continue to freeload off the RNC by not running, or pay his own legal bills & run?
Either way Trump is screwed & he did it to himself. He just can't help it. If your party is smart they'll give this guy the hook & let him fend for himself. He ain't worth the trouble.

It's a quid pro quo..Even as a private citizen, Trump has far more power than you're even aware of. Paying his legal fees is not happening out of the goodness of the GOP's national committee's hearts. They are doing that because they know how valuable Trump is to the party. He is still seen to have solid fundraising power, as can be already seen as we approach the midterm elections. His record of endorsing candidates is amazing, and the majority of those do end up winning the primary elections.
As one of the most important leaders of the Republican party, defending President Trump and his record of achievement is critical to the GOP. It is entirely appropriate for the RNC to continue assisting in fighting back against the Democrats' never ending witch hunts and attacks on him. That's what's called "party loyalty."
It's a quid pro quo..
They pay his legal fees, ONLY if he does not announce running for president again, before the November election.
How nuts is that....? The RNC is paying Trump (court and legal fees) to keep his mouth shut on his presidential plans or to not run at all....BECAUSE the RNC believes Trump running again for president, WOULD HURT the Republican Candidates running for office in November 2022... it seems?
Why would Trump pay his own legal bills when he can freeload off of others?Screw that deal. Trump can afford his own legal fees.
No guts, no glory, he should run.
Why would Trump pay his own legal bills when he can freeload off of others?
Trump's not freeloading but the RNC is footing the bill for his lawyers. The only thing Trump is "freeloading" is that space between your ears. You should at least charge him some rent or something.
Now feel free any time to tell me how much salary he accepted as President.
Or . . . it would hurt all the other Republican presidential hopefuls who are salivating at the chance to run against Grandpa Joe.It's a quid pro quo..

Got it.
fyi-Now feel free any time to tell me how much salary he accepted as President.
If Trump is that valuable to the GOP then there is something seriously wrong with that outfit. Why would they not want to support him in his fight against you people? Trump is a great investment to the RNC. Even as a private citizen, Trump has far more power than you're even aware of. Paying his legal fees is not happening out of the goodness of the GOP's national committee's hearts, they are doing that because they know how valuable he is to the party. He is still acknowledged as the most influential Republican in this country's history, and has unmatched fundraising power. His record of endorsed candidates winning their primary elections speaks for itself.
I know you'd like to believe that the majority of Republicans don't support President Trump, but you're dead wrong. While your party has proven themselves to be idiots, liars, charlatans, incompetent boobs, and failures, the party of Trump is still a cohesive unit that you're going to have to face in November and 2024.
Good luck, bro. You're sure gonna need it.
He accepted nothing. So what? Let's let Trump off the hook even though he's a serial criminal who tried to enact a coup because he waived his salary? The only thing Trump is "freeloading" is that space between your ears. You should at least charge him some rent or something.
