From all indications - Saleh is a great guy and a player's coach. That being said, a 20-36 record, and the stupid move of making a political statement during an NFL game has cost him his job. Not only was he fired, but he was escorted out of the building by security. Jets were not happy.

If a coach were to have worn that same patch 60 years ago, they would have been showing solidarity with a very western oriented Christian nation with a capitol that people referred to as the Paris of the Middle East.

Lebanon should be a warning to the west what happens when Muslims breed to the point of being the majority.

Watch out, Europe.

He has the right to protest what Netanyahu is doing.
He got fired because the team is doing really badly when it was was supposed to be Super Bowl contender

2-3 this year

20-36 in his career with NY

He didn’t gel with Rogers. It remains to be seen if anyone can

Not while he is on the job.
Actually yeah he does. He was performing his job and that flag did not hinder his performance. He was on the hot set to begin with and losing didn't help him.

I agree. The problem is that the Jets are not a contender even with Rogers.

I thought the league was encouraging players and coaches to wear patches representing their foreign heritage. I'm sure I've seen them as the NFL tries to market itself internationally.

They encourage them them to win.

The flag did hurt his performance, because part of the job of coach is to instill confidence in the fans.

Being an antisemite hurt his standing with the fans.
