Not really. Usually the incumbant wins...
We haven't thrown out an incumbant in 20 years. We haven't thrown out an incumbant whose party has only held the presidency for one term in 32 years.
Romney is trailing Obama and this is really Romney's high water mark.
It's too bad the GOP couldn't come up with a real candidate.
the average american sees Obama as the equivalent of Barney the Dinasour,Bigbird and Spongebob Squarepants all rolled into one. thats why he never polls higher than 45%.
It is seriously waaaay too early for either side to be gloating - or panicking - about polls.
Undecided's at this stage, usually break for a challenger. That's why obama is doing so poorly. He's also not the same candidate he was. As an unknown he could say anything. Now he has a record to run on. Because his policies have not been popular, he's become more hysterial in their defense. He's also made some horrible missteps. The egotism in the Bin Laden raid, and the absolute debacle of the Chen situation has only increased the perception that he is not only inept, but more of an arrogant egotist than he was ever understood to be.

if Obama can't get his % over 45 that means he will lose !!You can also include that McCain beat Romney..then went on to choose an unknown governor from Alaska as his running mate.
