Because there is a clear momentum for it, and the GOP ignores it at their peril.Good, this should be interesting. I strongly suspect a clear delineation between democratic socialism and pure socialism to help clarify the national conversation:
Sanders planning ‘major speech’ on democratic socialism, he tells Iowa supporters
He does try here: What is a democratic socialist? Bernie Sanders tries to redefine the name.
“What democratic socialism means to me,” Sanders said during a recent speech in New Hampshire, “is having a government which represents all people, rather than just the wealthiest people, which is most often the case right now in this country.”
What that doesn't cover is control over ownership and means of distribution. I guess we'll see.
.
It's 2015. Why does there need to be a national conversation at all?
.
The Socialist momentum happened before and outside of the Democrats. Right now, you have several candidates that are running around trying to implement little words whilst proclaiming their devotion to capitalism. How capitalist are you? Isn't that what was first queried at the almighty debates?
If you think that the Democrats are socialist then you have another thing coming. It willingly ignores the division between liberals and allows those Democrats that are asshats to continue elitist BS and maintain an oligarchy. The vast majority of Democrats are free market screwballs. Screw balls with a gold tooth smile.
So, here we are watching people jump through hoops because.......some people are not educated to what socialism is and intend to use it as a scare tactic and secondly to demonize, ostracize and radicalize the working class people and automatically jump into the ..................invisible arms attached to the invisible hand of the free market?
