If the GOP isn't careful, it might lose on the universal healthcare point alone. The GOP and capitalists are the ones anyway that Universal Healthcare stands to help the most. People who don't have to spend the equivalent of a second mortgage on premiums and deductables, have more free capital to buy goods from the big corporations. Unless the 1% all owns controlling stock in healthcare and pharmaceuticals. Surely there must be some oil or entertainment magnates who are alarmed at their losses in recent years. If nobody can buy things, the rich get poorer. Universal Healthcare is a magic bullet for dems and republican rich alike. More businesses hire more people, having to spend less (naught) on healthcare for employees. More people earning in income means more consuming.
Rich? Are you listening?... Grab this one concept and run with it. Let the dems just have the free college thing. See what the public likes more in 2016, free college or free healthcare. Keep the premium care for you folks. You can buy your own league of private MDs and surgeons. Just let the working class have the basics and pay for it with taxes at the cash register on sugared foods, booze and tobacco; the three main killers.
