Hollande has won the presidency over Sarkozy. He plans to raise the tax rate there to 75% for top earners. This is Obamanomics gone wild. We know how this one will turn out.

This should provide the voters with a good lesson in the problem with socialism - if Obama hasn't already done that, that is.

There will be the usual excuses--things were really bad and there was no way Hollande could fix all that mess. The wealthy spiked the program by moving to England. It was Bush's fault--oops.

They do understand it is for only those earning 1 million Euros a year.. from work, not capital gains. How many does it hit? About 3000 people max.

I've been to England several times..including driving through the country side (which is lovely). The English either boil their meat until all flavor is gone..or something. And they have the habit of choosing the fattiest cuts. They do the same with veggies. They seem to think that spices are forbidden. Just this weekend I went to brunch with my girlfriend and there was a guy from England in the next table. He conceded to his friend that the food in his native land was horrible..and at best..it's mediocre. The best food I had while there was in a little fish and chips shop in the country side. That place was run by an Indian. People were lined up around the block to get in.

France? Never had a bad meal while I was there. And the people are just fine.

Good news... for England... Hollande wants to implement a 75% tax rate for the wealthy.... and the wealthy are looking to move out of France and to England... where they can pay 45% instead! Bargain! That should help Britain.

Real estate agents in London are already seeing a massive increase in inquiries from French people looking to get out.

If I were a Brit, I'd be thanking the French for their stupidity.

Quite a few have moved already to Belgium too. But particularly for young professionals, London is more attractive.

Greece rocked, I loved the locals.
