It's one thing for Muslims to come here and make demands, quite another for us to bend over and do as they ask. If Muslims have any issues with the laws of our country or rules in our schools, they can stay the hell out of here. Yet, immigration is increasing, as well as the demands to replace our laws with theirs.

In October of 2009, CAIR-Michigan demanded that Huron Park Elementary School in Roseville, Michigan stop handing out permission slips for students to participate in voluntary Bible lessons – off school property. Not only did the school acquiesce and stop the practice; it apologized for doing so.
From CAIR’s press release at the time:

The Michigan chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR-MI) said today that a Detroit-area school district has apologized for handing out permission slips for Bible study classes to elementary school students.

CAIR-MI sent a letter to Roseville Public Schools after receiving a complaint from two parents of children who attend Huron Park Elementary School about distribution by teachers of permission slips for the Bible classes at a local Baptist church.

Fast forward to April of this year. The same CAIR-Michigan demanded that Dearborn, Michigan Public Schools accommodate Muslim prayer – on school property.
From ArabAmericanNews.com:

The Council on American Islamic Relations of Michigan (CAIR-MI) staff recently met with Dearborn Public Schools Superintendent Brian Whiston to discuss concerns from some parents regarding prayer accommodations in Dearborn Public Schools.

Dearborn Public Schools has implemented a policy which fully accommodates student-led prayer in all the schools, as well as unexcused absences for students who leave early on Fridays for Jumu’ah prayers. CAIR-MI is currently in discussion with Melvindale Public Schools to get similar accommodations for students that are now in place for Dearborn Public Schools.

Can that be spelled any other way than b-l-a-t-a-n-t h-y-p-o-c-r-i-s-y?

What's more frightening is that they let Muslims pray IF THEY GET GOOD GRADES.

In other words, there's a secular requirement that must be fulfilled before you can worship, otherwise, you are PROHIBITED FROM WORSHIP.

That should be the primary concern.

I don't understand why this is so hard for you guys to understand.

Students are allowed to pray to whatever they want, whenever they want.

Teachers are not allowed to ask them to.

So, Muslims demand that no Christians even plan prayer services while at school, yet Muslim students should be granted permission to leave class and pray at school. And some are willing to go along with this? It's just wrong. One rule that everyone follows is the only fair way. I am sick of giving certain groups special privileges and treating them with kid gloves all the time.

As long as the school allows Christians and Jewish Students to also lead prayers and get unexcused absences one day a week to "pray".. And equally apply their unexcuse absence rules.. ( When my son was in school, 3 or more unexcused absences per grading period resulted in a one week in-school suspension. ) Then I don't have a problem with it.

However, if they place any restrictions on the non-muslem students that they don't have on the Muslem students, then there is a huge problem.

Why is it hard for you to understand that allowing special privileges based on religion is discrimination. Why are anti discrimination unless it involves special privileges for Muslims? Is it that they scare you?

If people would stop with the my invisible god has a bigger dick than your invisible god, people would have nothing to bitch about.

What "special privileges" do you think these students getting?

There is a solution. Christians have no business in public school. But, no one can be denied the vote whether or not their children attend the school. Take your kids out of public school and you don't have to worry about policies passed by the vote. Organize into voting blocks. Cut off funding. Let them fire the teachers and close the schools. There is more than one way to fight back.

Exactly, if a Muslim teacher was passing out Koran meeting fliers conservatives heads would be exploding all over this board.

Exactly. Students can go and pray - regardless of religion. Faculty can not promote or lead prayer, regardless of religion.

The OP fails to note these distinctions in it's attempt to portray Christians as a special class of victim.

I think that is what we may have to end up doing.

Well, how actively did the school faculty actually promote them, though?
