Senate approves 36-year-old Trump judicial nominee. He never tried a case in his career. UNQUALIFIED

.

Talley, a former Alabama deputy solicitor general, has practiced law for three years. Judiciary approved his nomination to serve on the federal district court for the Middle District of Alabama in an 11-9, party-line vote.

"He’s practiced law for less than three years and never argued a motion, let alone brought a case. This is the least amount of experience I’ve seen in a judicial nominee,” Kristine Lucius, executive vice president of the Leadership Conference on Civil Rights, told the Times.
A judicial rating committee in the American Bar Association reportedly unanimously declared Talley "not qualified" ahead of his confirmation

Talley admitted during his confirmation hearing that he had only participated once in a federal court hearing, as part of the legal team in a case during his time as the deputy solicitor general.

The nominee also previously worked as a deputy assistant attorney general in the Justice Department's Office of Legal Policy, which considers judicial nominees. Talley first worked as Alabama's deputy solicitor general under Sen. Luther Strange

Since 1989, just six judicial nominees have been unanimously rated Not Qualified by the American Bar Association. Four have been Trump's.

Luckily he still has to be approved by the Senate. We can only hope that 3 Republicans do the right thing and send the joker packing.

To the Trumpsters- the only qualification a Judge needs is undying devotion and allegiance to Trump.

(1) the Bar Association long ago relinquished their relevance in the process. Political hacks, all.

(2) the knowledge and abilities necessary to be an appellate court judge are unrelated to the knowledge and skills necessary to be a good litigator. It's rather like being a baseball general manager vs. Being a baseball player.

(3) The OP presumes that all Senate Democrats will fall in line, with no exceptions. Think about that. Republicans are BAD if they don't break ranks. Dems are GOOD if they vote as a unified block.
