Shame!

If you are new here and are just browsing through, fear not....though it may seem like usmb is home to a majority of deinstitutionalized wingnut weirdos, we have the progressively insane here too.

And then tbere is Dante. Dante feeds a dose of reason and sanity to the mentally ill here. He can assure you that although the natives are restlesd, they are also quite harmless.

You're so full of shit, your eyes are brown. The house presented several bills that funded government. The senate as usual, refused it. Well the senate didn't get an opportunity to vote on it. Harry Reid refused to let it go to a vote. That is why those people are out of work.

Did any of those bills contain poison pills or other shit? I ask because you appear to be claiming the role of the House Shitster

Depends on who thinks they are poison. Given that a majority of the nation opposes Obamacare and House members heard loud and clear from their constituents to oppose it while they were back home in August, they are merely representing the wishes of the people they serve. Why are Barry and Harry tone deaf to the American people.

RealClearPolitics - Election Other - Public Approval of Health Care Law

Given that the numbers are similar to Barry's election numbers and if we use liberal logic, we probably should consider the disapproval as a "mandate".

Government shutdown: The Tea Party has declared war on their fellow Americans as they celebrate what they think is a victory. Bennedict Arnold would be proud.

Shame!

Afraid that welfare check will be delayed?

Republicans do not consider this shutdown a victory. They believe they are doing what is in this nation's best interest, regardless of the political flak they will get.

There are many Americans who have earned benefits from the federal government, and there are others who just live off the largess of a nanny government. We need to go to war with the deadbeats who make little, or no effort to provide for their own welfare.

Process? Do people who help our military veterans at tbe VA deserve to be treated like they are part of an abstract process?

How many hundreds of thousands of dedicated, hard wirking Americans must suffer for the insane, petty politics of the Tea Party whackos?

Irony is. -- The PPACA/Obamacare Healthcare Exchanges are now opening. Shame on this political game
Very nice.

Put it in an email and send it off to the entire Senate.

The GOP led House holds government workers hostage to a budget battle and you blame the Senate? In a more perfect world you would be horsewhipped. :eusa_hand:

A battle requires two sides to go at each other. The same is required for a political impasse. Your failure to consider those facts, means you need the horsewhipping.

The political impasse is within the GOP.

Sad to see what was left of the Grand Old Party brand being yorn apart by reactionary radicals who even now are throwing loyal conservative Republican leaders like Peter King under the proverbial bus.

When will democrats go from hyperbole to action? They are so close now, it wouldn't take much. Start with mowing down those tea party veterans trying to visit the memorials. Start arresting all dissidents. Go into the radio and television stations and haul out the talk show hosts.

Really? The GOP have brought numerous bills to fund the government to the Senate pre and post shutdown. Harry and Barry keep saying no and shut everything down. They can take up anyone of those bills this instant and fund the government and get back to business. Why do Harry and Barry hate America?

I always assumed the GOP would get the lion's share of the blame since the mainstream press is corrupt but I think the facts on the ground and the pettiness of Obama is beginning to sway public opinion to the other direction. Closing down the WW 2 memorial is as petty as closing the white house to the public after sequester. Closing privately funded parks that were not closed during other government shutdowns because they take no federal money. Michelle Obama telling us that the government shutdown will disturb her twitter updates. Also, the use of hyper partisan language has had a detrimental effect for the left. Using words like terrorist, arsonist, suicide bombers, anarchists, hostage takers, racists has added a childishness and pettiness layer to the left's complaints. Plus, the facts on the ground can't be hidden by shrill rhetoric and a left leaning partisan press.

How is trying to prevent a fiscal calamity a "war on the American people"?

I love the vocabulary surrounding all this. Terror, treason, declaring war on Americans, hostage taking. But when faced with real terrorism and hostage taking and declaring war on Americans we should use man-made disaster.

It's just a budgetary process, but why let that get in the way of some hyperbole?

The far right wing teabaggers are the face of domestic terrorism..

Keep on drinking that Obama Kool-Aid, Black_Label. Oh yeah!

When the Tea Party is flying airplanes into buildings and blowing up trains, then you can say they are terrorists. Until then they are just the opposition party.

They are far worse then that, they have infiltrated the government and are destroying it from the inside out.

Sorry, but Obama's already done that. It started on January 21st, 2009.

So, there is no purpose to this thread other than to vent your subjective hyper-partisanship again for the 100,000,000,000,000,000th time? Gee, thanks for the exciting, innovative, and thought provoking topic, troll.
