Skeletons in the Closet

It has been an unwritten rule that you don’t prosecute presidents after they leave office.

The most famous case was Ford pardoning Nixon
Reagan was given a free pass on Iran Contra
When Bush 43 left office, Obama refused to investigate 9-11, evidence for invading Iraq and official use of torture.

Now Trump seems intent on starting an investigation of Obama in preparation of the next election

Trump is setting a precedent for future presidents leaving office. Given the mountains of evidence he has been hiding for four years, he is setting himself up for a major fall.
As if Dems aren’t going to try to prosecute President Trump anyway.

It’s funny you actually think no one sees through your bullshit.

The problem and issue, of course, isn’t the concern that a president might be hamstrung by the possibility of criminal prosecution – rather, the problem is the advent of the Imperial Presidency during the beginning of the 20th Century, and the codification of the Imperial Presidency the consequence of the Cold War.

This was not the Framers’ intent; the Founding Generation did not envision an ‘all powerful’ president who is ‘above the law’; the Framers foresaw a president subject to the rule of law and subject to Congressional oversight, consistent with Congress’ role representing the American people.

Gawd you're stupid.

The Founder's intent was freedom, you support Fascist BS and everyone knows it

Yer a fckn clown
They weren’t free?

You mean they couldn’t go where they want, raise families or worship as they wished?

With his manipulation of the Justice Department, he is giving them more to prosecute

No, they couldn't. That's why they fled England, and that's why over 1 million people, each year, come to the USA. For the chance to be free.

How about you and your fascist clowns leave, and go to whatever 3rd world shithole you want to live in.

So what? If there is nothing there, then he has nothing to worry about. As he can confirm, from watching scores of his own frivolous lawsuits get tossed out of court.

Our founders were free. As long as they were white male and Christian.
There was no more freedom in this country after the revolution than there was before. The War was about independence not freedom

Our Founders lived almost 300 years ago. They were far more educated, and far smarter than you. They did however, exist in THEIR timeline.

You, in your ignorance, and hatred for freedom, couch everything they did in our time to try and denigrate their accomplishments.

They created a country where the serfs could be free, and where they could determine their own fate. You want to return mankind to serfdom.

You need to look up a document called The Declaration of Independence written by a man named Thomas Jefferson.
It includes a list of grievances against the crown, none of which involved personal freedom.
In 1776, there were no serfs in the Colonies. There were slaves whose freedom didn’t change after the Revolutionary War.

You mean like Flynn, who had to spend his life savings for lawyers, only to be exonerated in the end?

Flynn was not exonerated. Not sure what you're smoking. That was a slam dunk case.

Wrong. The FBI lied and said he didn’t need a lawyer. They plotted to get him hung up on a “lie”, which was really just him not remembering a detail perfectly. They also threatened to go after his son if he didn’t plead guilty. Now why would the FBI make such a deal? If Flynn was guilty, then they should prove it in a court. If his son did anything illegal, why would they let him off the hook? That is blatant corruption. If this wasn’t a political thing, there case would had been thrown out easily.

The FBI lied and said he didn’t need a lawyer.
False. And that's his choice anyway.

That horseshit is from a court filing from over two years ago. It was summarily tossed by the judge. Your wingnut blogger handlers appear to be way behind the times.

I am not addressing the rest of your nonsense. Nobody buys this garbage except for the little trump cult. Least of all, Judge Sullivan. Go peddle it to someone else.

like the Russian Collusion....?

He would have got away with it, if not for those meddling kids!
