Skeletons in the Closet

It has been an unwritten rule that you donā€™t prosecute presidents after they leave office.

The most famous case was Ford pardoning Nixon
Reagan was given a free pass on Iran Contra
When Bush 43 left office, Obama refused to investigate 9-11, evidence for invading Iraq and official use of torture.

Now Trump seems intent on starting an investigation of Obama in preparation of the next election

Trump is setting a precedent for future presidents leaving office. Given the mountains of evidence he has been hiding for four years, he is setting himself up for a major fall.
So, Obama should be above the law? Obama just needs to shut up and show some class.
Yeah- because Trump is showing nothing but class by attacking Obama- lets look at this example- of Trump blaming Obama for a broken test for a disease that didn't exist during the Obama administration.

ā€œThe last administration left us nothing. We started off with bad, broken tests, and obsolete tests,ā€ Trump asserted, prompting Acosta to jump in and ask: ā€œYou say ā€˜broken testsā€™ ā€” itā€™s a new virus, so how could the tests be broken?ā€

"We took over a dead, barren system," Trump said. "That didnā€™t work, because when CDC first looked at their test, the biggest problem they had is, the test didnā€™t work. That wasnā€™t from us. Thatā€™s been there a long time. Now we have the best tests in the world."
That man is such a moron.

There was never a president more corrupt then obama . He deservrs Gitmo. Report: Justice Scalia Thought Obama Admin Was Spying On Supreme Court

Well the President didn't have one last week...
How about a short list you would be looking at...
The illegal unmasking of Trump's people.
Illegal spying on Americans.
You should really give up on this "unmasking" thing. Anyone given the reports from NSA has the right to ask the identity of a redacted individual. Of course they wanted to know who was engaging in a deal with the Russians while Obama was still the sitting President. From the conversation, they no doubt knew it was someone on Trump's team. Pretty important, based on what they DIDN'T know yet. I can't believe you think there was anything wrong with that or that it somehow shows a conspiracy.

No, they don't. That's what makes this country the USA, and not some third world shithole you so desire to live in.
They need a reason. They had one. My opinion is that it is YOUR people who are trying to turn us into a third world shithole by dreaming of throwing the entire opposition in jail.

Trump investigates Obama then he leaving himself open to be investigated himself.

By the way, he has already left himself open to investigation using his Ukrainian phone call...
And by firing Comey in a fit of pique. Let's not forget that one.

The difference being we actually want there to be real evidence. Not the fraudulent crap your hero's came up with. No, the fascists are you sweetcheeks. You don't care which laws are broken so long as the people breaking those laws are your people. That IS the definition of fascism sweety.

You fucking tribe was in too much of a hurry to put a case forward
and wanted to relying on the Senate to do that.
How fucking stupid. damn you are dumb. The case has to be presented in the Senate. The impeachment vote is a vote to try the case in the Senate. And instead of whining about other people not making a strong case, maybe give yourself some credit. Without the political force of you cultists behind Trump, he would not have gotten away with refusing all interviews and all subpoenas.
It was a hoax in the House, and you know it...you're just a partisan twit.
Embarrassing

So Trump should be above the law?
Half of Trump's tweets over the past 3 years have been about Obama.
You think that's classy, asshole? Or kinda fucking juvenile?
You twits have been going after him for three years and been firing nothing more than blanks.
Hell, I think you're doing as well as the Minnesota Vikings in the Super Bowl. :auiqs.jpg:
Hardly blanks...

Mueller said Trump was not innocent and that he would not prosecute a sitting president.

Trump was impeached and it took Republicans admitting he did wrong but not enough to remove from office

Hardly a ringing endorsement
Yeah, blanks, no matter how much you sugar coat your shit....it's still blanks.
Hell with that impeachment farce...Trump couldn't even defend himself because of the new rules Schiff put in place
for this clown show. If I was you, I would have been embarrassed to have even brought that one up, RW
Hardly a farce
Trump was impeached.

Along with Andrew Johnson, Bill Clinton and Nixon who resigned facing impeachment.

Of the four, Trumps offenses were the worst

Republicans chose to look the other way
BS and you know it, RW. That was a railroad job having Trump's hands tied not having his day in court.
No other impeachment handled it that way.
Railroad?? How many were PREVENTED from testifying??
You don't know how that works, do you? You fucking tribe was in too much of a hurry to put a case forward
and wanted to relying on the Senate to do that. Your tribe used something like 17 witnesses WTH?
There was proper procedure for them to use and they declined to use it. Blame your tribe

We wouldn't be in that mess or this one if it weren't for YOUR CULT.
Funny, Trump is still cleaning up from your messiah, BS.
Stay tuned

The Constitution was written for people being equal. That's why nothing is written into the Constitution about letting a former President destroy the Constitution after he poops all over it for 8 years then desires to pull strings in the FBI when he isn't the President anymore. If Obama broke laws, and they are treason, he gets to pay the price just like any other person who criminalizes the Constitution for his pleasure and that of his accursed fellow conspirators who'd like to amend the Constitution without going to the people, lying to the people, and disrespecting the separation of powers. If he broke the laws of the nation, he deserves whatever the courts decide is fair. And every last stinking one of the my-way-or-the-highway judges he appointed has to recuse himself.

I am confident Obama will come out Scott free

Can you make the same statement about Trump?
"Scot-free" means without penalty. We do not know if Obama committed a crime yet. That's what we need to find out.

Letā€™s do it
Open a four year old case on an ex President

Removes any expectation of protection that Trump May have next year when he leaves office
You think that the American people will put Extortion Master Extraordinaire Biden in the White House? I don't think so. I do think the majority of Americans know the trouble that you and others have gone to with false witness against the President to impeach him. It didn't work, and it's not going to work with hands-on-other-people Joe. People are getting to know who he was and has always been, and is shooting for more of the same.

The problem and issue, of course, isnā€™t the concern that a president might be hamstrung by the possibility of criminal prosecution ā€“ rather, the problem is the advent of the Imperial Presidency during the beginning of the 20th Century, and the codification of the Imperial Presidency the consequence of the Cold War.

This was not the Framersā€™ intent; the Founding Generation did not envision an ā€˜all powerfulā€™ president who is ā€˜above the lawā€™; the Framers foresaw a president subject to the rule of law and subject to Congressional oversight, consistent with Congressā€™ role representing the American people.

It will be invaluable once Biden takes over

How did Obama manipulate the FBI when he was out of office? Do you believe every bizarre theory coming from the conservative media?

Yeah- because Trump is showing nothing but class by attacking Obama- lets look at this example- of Trump blaming Obama for a broken test for a disease that didn't exist during the Obama administration.

ā€œThe last administration left us nothing. We started off with bad, broken tests, and obsolete tests,ā€ Trump asserted, prompting Acosta to jump in and ask: ā€œYou say ā€˜broken testsā€™ ā€” itā€™s a new virus, so how could the tests be broken?ā€
