Two Republican senators running for president reintroduced a bill Wednesday that would effectively ban Internet poker and other forms of online gambling—legislation that has long been championed by casino magnate and GOP mega-donor Sheldon Adelson.

To be fair, I am sure the Tourism Boards of those gambling hot spots are lobbying heavily in favor of this bill as well. They want this bill to pass as much of the Casinos owners do.

You are also saying basically fuck you to the thousands of workers. Have you ever been to Atlantic City? The middle class in that area of NJ don't have much in the way of jobs outside the casino industry. I have lived there, when the summer season ends and the beach house rentals close up the casino's is the only thing keeping that area employed.
