To be fair, there was a group of professional mountain climbers who built a replica portion of the wall, then had a contest to see if they could climb it. And an 8 year old girl did climb it.

Except for one thing: We aren't about to be invaded by a bunch of professional rock climbers. Nor will those obese Mexican women be scampering up the border wall, nor will they have professional climbing gear with someone holding the rope to stop them from falling.

Nor will they be carrying a load on their back like an 80 pound burlap sack full of marijuana, their worldly possessions, or the 5 gallons of they'd need for the 50 mile trek across the Sonora desert after getting over the fence, as most illegals have to do.

Water requirements are the same with or without a wall.

A 30 foot wall is still a better deterrent than a chain link fence or open space. You can bet it will deter some elderly people, people with physical problems and some pregnant women. people who might otherwise foolishly chance crossing the desert and ending up dying out there. It makes a difference, but for some reason I think there are some here that are rooting for people entering the U.S. illegally, even to their own detriment.

Pointing out that stupid fence is stupid is not the same as rooting for the detriment of people crossing a desert.

You all mut go down to the border and help them. Feed them give them drink. Out of your resources. The real inconvenient truth is even the United States is not that wealthy to handle the amount of people coming in and what we are doing. It is more common sense then anything else.

How does a rope work? You can't just throw one up to the top of the wall and climb it. The rope has to be tied to the top, or firmly attached.

Then even climbing a rope is a strenuous thing to do. Women and children wouldn't be able to do that very easily.
