Yes, there was a criminal conspiracy to prevent the Electoral Votes from being officially and finally affirmed by the assembled Congress.

Who was involved?
Well, that is where we are at now. And what this hypothetical is about.

Sure, there are any number of 'retail' dunderheads who had their hand in it....the Proud Boys, Oathkeepers, and such...the MealTeam6 wannabes costumed in their Kevlar.

But.....those dunderheads were just expendable components of the deus ex machina that the 'wholesale' guys hoped would generate a stoppage in the Congress, a crisis, with a wee bit of violence outside providing the excuse for some need for some flavor of 'martial law'....some executive order that held in place the current office-holder of the nation.
To buy time to continue to sow doubt and suspicion and distrust of the votes out of Georgia, Pennsylvania, Michigan, Arizona, et al. Time to muddy the waters really really ....well, muddy.

But then it accelerated. To helterskelter! To Defcon4.
Way beyond what the 'wholesale' guys anticipated.
It was too violent.
There were too many.
And the damn thing ...the whole mess....got televised in real time.
And America was gobsmacked. Like 9/11. Like the shot to Jack's head. Like Christi McCauliffe's torch.

And now, the 'wholesale' guys realized they let loose a whole bunch more sh*t than anticipated.......with a high likelihood of splashing back on them.

And so here we are.
