The only need and purpose for the lockdowns in the beginning was to lower the curve and to work out the supply chains for PPE. Long before any of this happened TRUMP was sounding the alarm that we are to dependent on China for supplying us with medical items, democrats and many republicans went into hysterics with TRUMP's tariffs whining about soup costing $10 a can.
Fauci has even said we no longer need lockdowns and kids need to get back to in-person school. Getting kids back to school across the country is not a 1 size fits all. TRUMP has put out recommendations for safely opening schools and businesses leaving it up to state officials to determine whats best for their state.
If state governors and mayors are incapable of doing their jobs and running their states they should step down.

Let's keep in mind back in March the "science" models were predicting millions were going to die in the US from the china virus. Had TRUMP not downplayed the virus to some extent, how many essential workers not only in the medical community but also in the food industry would have walked off the job?
