I've considered taking myself off the transplant list. My dad is a heart transplant recipient so that's what stops me. I just don't want to a 6-8 240 pound cadaver with an enormous phallus that might encourage freaks at the med school to do weird stuff with dead body.

it is more common then you think

sometime back i had to have a emergency surgery

they gave me a 20 percent chance of survival

in the pre op room

i woke up to someone working my elbow

and on the floor was one of those organ donor coolers

i fell back to sleep

woke up in recovery

i didnt mind

since i am a complete organ and tissue donor

and hope they are on the ready

since time is of the essence

now if i would have woken up in recovery

minus my left arm or elbow

i would feel differently about it

But, its not at all surprising that the same people who say they care about fetuses don't give a damn about the people who are already here. They also say they're christians though.

I missed the Bible verse that tells people to give up their vital organs. Could you please cite it for me? I recall one that says give up your coat, but I just can't find the one that says rip out your liver.

I can't help but have a worry filled feeling in me after reading that. All that I can say is that if a person can be saved, they should be saved...but not at the expense of a person who still has a chance of remaining alive and well.
