anyone know------are the protestors primarily or ALL muslim?
Are there Buddhist or Christian groups in the mix?

Not sure. However, to qualify for preferential treatment, I've heard you got to be a muslim or malay. In some malaysian states, natives can be non muslims.

Any malaysian here?
