Duh! Which ever party controls the redistricting at Census time does this in just about every state. Illinois Democrats gerrymandered their state after the 2010 Census causing four Republican incumbents to lose their seats. Over the past two Censuses, Maryland Congressional delegation has gone from 4 Democrats and 4 Republicans to 7 Democrats and 1 Republican because of gerrymandering.

Where is your outrage over this?

And yet Partisan gerrymandering violates the 1st Amendment.

Not according to the courts it doesn't. They've ruled against plaintiffs filing lawsuits over gerrymandering multiple times saying there is nothing unconstitutional about it.

This is why drawing of districts needs to be taken out of the hands of politicians like they did in California.

Take IL! One of the worst Congressman in US history, a bona fide traitor to the country in Luis Gutierrez. Look how they drew his district. It's absolutely INSANE. They did it so that he would cover only Hispanic and LARGE known illegal alien enclave districts! He wins year in and out 85-95% of the popular vote. It's sick what they did and it's sick the law allows both parties to do this.

It isn't cheating. It isn't outrageous. It is politics as usual. It gets comment this time from Dems because in the last election cycle many states flip flopped to the GOP so they now get to redraw districts, giving them an advantage in national elections. So now suddenly it's a life or death constitutional issue.

Democrats are the biggest fucking hypocrites to walk the planet.

Partisan gerrymandering needs to stop. We stopped it in CA and a few other states have done it as well. Stop redistricting on party lines.
