His news conference addressing NATO along with the NATO leader Stoltenberg. Talked about how they need to fight terror and also must pay their 2%.

Thank you President Trump! I was starting to worry he was going to let this issue slide. It isn't fair to America and the liberty of the world when countries abuse American military and pretend they are committed to NATO when they disregard their obligations and spit on American sacrifices.

If Germany, Canada and others don't wish to pay their 2% and their back payment obligations, than there must be steep consequences. No self respecting nation would walk away from the most basic principle of fair contribution.

The consequences for not paying haven't been outlined, but suffice to say, with all of the trade issues and abuses, certainly recouping payments in one form or another is quite easy to achieve.
