By re-electing Paul Ryan, you have ensured the following

1. everything Prez Hillary wants from the House, she'll get
2. The House will remain in lock step with Senate and WH blocking everything, from the truth about 911 to the FBI's fraud case against the "top climate scientists"
3. immigrants (who tend to vote for the Dems) will be unconditionally welcomed
4. the Speaker will talk about "true conservatism" while practicing 180 degrees the opposite
5. failed socialist states and territories like Puerto Rico will be rewarded for failure without question or conditions

Truth be told, we'd be better off with Geraldo as Speaker, dipshyts... but Janesville will get its extra large slice of pork and earmarks, which is what is "conservative" to them...

It's pretty disappointing from the Dem standpoint actually, since if the other guy had won the primary it would be an easy pickup for the Democrats in November

If Democrats were that good, why isn't is one against Ryan?
English please?

Are you saying Democrats can only win in certain situations? If the Democrat is so good, why isn't it an easy pickup regardless of who the Republican candidate happens to be? Good isn't based on a comparison to someone else but on the specific thing.

Maybe you're right, and it turns out Ryan is doing a great job

I'm a bit bummed too. Ryan had been my first choice to run for potus. I still think he's a sincere man of faith who wants to do good for the country as a whole.

But his tax plan is heavily weighted to the top, and that is not going to fly ... unless the voters are as stupid as the Trumpbots who are oblivious to the Donald's being even more so.

I may get over his lack of spine in shutting down Dangerous Donald, because I realize that he didn't just represent one district, and had he done so, he might have lost the House to the dems. It's not one of those moments in courage ... like even Obama had in the Spring of 03 ... but maybe I can view it as less a cave to personal political expediency than Hill's cave back then.

Never said he was or wasn't. I addressed that you indicated on Democrats can win in certain situations.

It is an interesting relationship. When Ryan was first elected in 1998, Gingrich was Speaker, the US had a budget SURPLUS, a strong economy, real unemployment of 5%, wage inflation (nobody bitching about minimum wage etc.) and government spending was 25% GDP.

Since Ryan took office, we have now added 14 trillion to the debt (with a lot more pending now that he is still the Speaker), real unemployment is high teens, government spending is 50% of GDP, the minimum wage is a huge issue because the government crowding out of the private sector has sent companies like Burger King to Canada etc etc etc

Paul Ryan is an exact barometer of the failure of the US, as his royal "conservativeness" sold out in Nov 2015 about whether or not to expose the truth that the FBI had a fraud prosecution of the "top climate scientists" that Obama snuffed out in 2012. That would have impeached Obama, freed up hundreds of billions to actually do something (build desal plants, cut taxes etc) instead of paying fudgebaking liars and snuffing out Keystone pipeline.

Ryan is a complete disaster. There is no Dem in Wisconsin who is a bigger disaster.

Paul Ryan went from republican golden boy to liberal stooge so fast even he now knows his party is clinically insane.

At least he was willing to take the job they couldn't give away to anybody else.
