Stalin More Popular Than Putin in These Days. A record 70% of Moscow respondents say the late dictator of the former Moscow Marxist empire played a positive role for Moscow , according to a recent poll by the independent Moscow-based Levada Center. Stalin's previous high mark for approval was 54% in 2016, The Moscow Times reported.
There's a fascinating story of Walter Ciszek, American Jesuit who was a missionary in Moscow Marxist empire and was also sent to gulag in Norilsk. He later wrote a book With God in Moscovy , highly recommend, in my opinion one of the best books about Moscow Marxist concentration camps.
