Bernie is a neoMarxist minded socialist who thinks all people (except himself and his colleagues of course) should all earn and live the same. What he doesn't realize is that when you eliminate all the 'toys' and amenities enjoyed by the rich because there are no more rich to buy them, you also eliminate millions of good jobs that are made necessary to create those toys and amenities. And when you take the money of those workers out of the economy there is less money to support the housing industry, gas stations, grocery stores, hardware stores etc. that were built to accommodate a working public with money.

You also eliminate millions/billions in endowments and other philanthrophy that enrich the lives of most of us--hospital wings, libraries, museum exhibits, the arts, etc. etc. etc. and also make a lot of cash unavailable to less rich people who need to borrow it to build their own businesses and personal fortunes that in turn help enrich others.

And nobody will likely benefit from a lot of cash confiscated from the billionaires either, because they will simply offshore it to protect it as they have always done every time the government gets greedy.
