‘The Art Of The Deal’ Writer: Trump Isn’t Nearly As Smart As People Think. He Didn't Write Book.

Trump is a very good con man who has convinced people he's smarter and has a much larger net worth than he does. He's not very bright, which is why he has his associates and kids do the hard work in the business.
Let's get real, a guy who speaks as poorly as he does (basically at a 5th grade level) and shows his exceptional ignorance and utter lack of intellectual curiosity, is not a bright guy. Just because he's scored some good real estate deals (keep in mind he's a "B" player at best in NY real estate and largely considered to be a joke) and has a big mouth, doesn't mean he's anywhere near fit to be President.

I agree. There are also various reports that Trump isn't that great of a businessman - considering that if he had simply invested his inheritance from his rich daddy - he'd be worth as much, or MORE, today. It appears that everything about Trump is smoke and mirrors - a fraud.

So do you support allowing Social Security to be invested in indexed funds?

“I put lipstick on a pig,” writer Tony Schwartz said.

The man who nearly 30 years ago helped create the myth of Donald Trump has a lot of regrets ― and no small amount of fear over what a Trump presidency would mean.

In a scathing interview Monday with Good Morning America, Tony Schwartz, who co-wrote Trump’s 1987 business best-seller Art of the Deal, blasted the real estate mogul as an attention-deficient man with “sociopathic tendencies” who is a potential danger to civilization.

Schwartz said that among the myths he regrettably helped perpetuate about Trump is the idea that the businessman has a high level of intelligence and savvy.

“I believe he is so insecure, so easily provoked, and not ― not particularly nearly as smart as people might imagine he is. And in the face of someone like Putin provoking him cleverly. ... I do worry that with the nuclear codes [Trump] would end civilization as we know it,” Schwartz told GMA’s George Stephanopoulos.

Schwartz’s harsh rebuke of Trump follows an explosive interview with The New Yorker in which he said “I put lipstick on a pig,” and added that if he were to write the book today, he would call it “The Sociopath.”

Schwartz spent 18 close months with Trump ahead of the book’s publication. He now claims he’s not the book’s co-writer, but a ghostwriter who penned “every word” ― with minimal input from Trump. Howard Kaminsky, the former head of Random House, which published the book, backed up Schwartz’s claim, the New Yorker reports.

Since Trump announced his candidacy in 2015, Schwartz told GMA he “hasn’t slept a night through.”

He’s speaking out now, he said, as a matter of “civic duty.” Schwartz acknowledged some of the likely criticisms that will follow his bombshell statements — including the fact that he is a lifelong liberal and that he was willing to cash in on his relationship with Trump in the past.

“We had a successful experience together. I never in a million years thought he would run for president. Had I thought that 30 years ago, I wouldn’t have written the book,” Schwartz said.

If Trump is elected president, Schwartz said he will regret writing the book even more than he does now.

“I feel a deep sense of remorse that I contributed to presenting Trump in a way that brought him wider attention and made him more appealing than he is,” Schwartz told the New Yorker.

Eliot Spitzer on Real Time went into detail about his father's real estate dealings with Trump -- his father was bewildered by Trump's lack of knowledge about anything. Trump seemed like a person who hadn't read a book on anything on in a decade.

Thanks even though you're a paid DNC shill

It's funny to watch NaziCons try to deflect away from Trump's lies.
Guess you liberals never heard of ghost writers before Trump.

Funny. Then why does Trump take credit for writing the book - since he didn't write ANY of it?

What's funny is that you believe your own bullshit.

Funny...

I think it is obvious some of Trump's success is due to the people he has been dealing with thought he was some kind of a wiz as explained in his book. He conned a ghost writer to set him up as this expert deal maker and I wouldn't be surprised that was his intention all along. It gave him cred and he leans on the book frequently in his current self description.

Trump Campaign Trying to Silence 'Art of the Deal' Ghostwriter?

Tony Schwartz, ghostwriter of Donald Trump's book "The Art of the Deal," told MSNBC Wednesday that the Trump campaign sent him a cease and desist letter in response to his comments about the Republican candidate.

Schwartz, a former journalist, was employed by Trump to ghostwrite his memoir in 1987. In an interview with MSNBC, Schwartz described the Republican candidate for president as "having no heart and no soul."

Schwartz told the New Yorker for a piece published Wednesday that he genuinely believes "if Trump wins and gets the nuclear codes there is an excellent possibility it will lead to the end of civilization."

The ghostwriter said in the interview Wednesday evening with Rachel Maddow and Brian Williams that the Trump organization sent him a"cease and desist" letter for his comments about the candidate and demanded that he stop collecting, and repay, his royalties on the sale of "The Art of the Deal."

‘The Art Of The Deal’ Ghostwriter Says Trump Campaign Is Trying To Silence Him

Well, this is certainly no big surprise.

Tony Schwartz, who wrote Trump’s 1987 business best-seller Art of the Deal, was on Lawrence O'Donnell tonight. It was awesome. Among other things, Mr. Schwartz said Trump has no soul - he's a black hole. He also mentioned that Trump is suing him for telling the world that he wrote the book - not Trump - which is backed up by Random House publishing. Everything about Trump is a con game.

Let's see....

Talk of lying....

Talk of being a con artist.....

I thought you were talking about Hillary.
