Limiting what authority? Only well regulated militia are Necessary and shall not be Infringed; otherwise, it is a States' right and the People need to get together with their Politicians, to come up with an acceptable, State answer to that State problem.

Subject only to the police power, the right of the individual citizen to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.

That’s right - 0% of the ATF investigators were able to make an illegal purchase. Not even one.

I guess you didn’t read the entire article. The first part of the article said the they weren’t able to find anyone who would sell to them on the open net, but they bought two guns, including an AR15 with the serial number filed off on the dark web. Two guns in 7 attempts.

You’d have to be a complete idiot to sell a gun to a guy you know was prohibited from owning weapons. If he does anything illegal with a weapon registered in your name the police are coming looking for you.

That was the first category. Officers posing as individuals not legally authorized to purchase firearms attempting to purchase them from private sellers. The results: 0 for 72.

The second category was the “dark web” which actually requires special browsers to access (due to the protocols required for that “underground” part of the web). There, the officers were 2/7 in attempts. Very few standard thugs who would commit firearm crimes have the technical comprehension to even access the “dark web” - much less successfully navigate it.
